After reading the article, I'm not saying that this 'takeover' is good or bad. Why don't we look at this in a more positive way. Take London or New York for example. Its not all white folks there you know! In part, its the diversity of the city that makes it tick. It gives character to the city.

In January 2005, a survey of London's ethnic and religious diversity claimed that there were more than 300 languages spoken and more than 50 non-indigenous communities with a population of more than 10,000 in London. Figures from the Office for National Statistics show that, as of 2006, London's foreign-born population is 2,288,000 (31%) (sourse wikipedia) If you go to certain parts of London, they also have their little Greek area (Bayswater), a middle-east part of town and even carribean or african.

Today in New York, 36.7% of the city's population is foreign-born. About 170 languages are spoken in the city. (source wikepedia) The more well known neighbourhoods are of course Chinatown and Little Italy. Even in chinatown, its not just chinese, it includes vietnamese and others.

We already have our own Little India and Chinatown. I'm sure we can accomodate Little Nepal or Cambodiatown. (As long as these people are here legally and do not break laws) Lets have more diversity in KL and move forward to being more cosmopolitan.

I'm always thinking and skeptical that its hugely more complex than meet the eye. Just think of the kind of foreigners that come flooding (especially illegally) into this land of late along with their mentality and bad habits, and what the rate that the authorities are keeping things under control... go figure!

well,talking about bad habits- does loitering or congregating in a certain area in the city constitute bad demeanor or undesirable behaviour?

if yes then singapore and HK are full of these 'unsavoury'characters on a sunday morning having their weekly rendezvous in one of the most expensive piece of real estate in the world.i dont think the locals mind or complain about these legion of foreign workers 'invading' or'conquering'their homeland

i think we must be thankful to these group of foreign workers who has contributed enormously to the economy of this country instead-albeit being employed in the not so desirable jobs shunned by locals

Foreigners are desperate as they try to give a better life to their families back home. As such, they'll use every trick to get to Malaysia, legally or illegally. Don't blame them !! They are just victim of circumstances.

Perhaps you should try to figure out how they get entry visas, and who allows them. It's a game of huge money my friend !! Exchange of money...

germany's sex trade, casino arcades (legal or otherwise), drug bizz ect ect are run/manage by mixed bags of middle east turks/lebanese, african etc...sdyney & melb drug, prostitution, loan sharking, robbery etc by non-inglis speekin' vietnamese...london's china town illegal casinos are operated by yes, triads from hkong/taiwan & china. U wanna me to start on USA? or tokyo? or china? or dirty smelly india? or aids infested africa?

There is always a greener patch of grass across that fence.

In percentage wise, would it be wrong to state Malaysia has the higgest number of illegal aliens coming here compared to London , HongKong or New York?

I happened to be at a Pasar Malam yesterday (visited this place a number of times already) at the end of Persiaran Subang Permai alongside Angsana hi-rise flats and what would you see?.. HUGE number of foreigners there, Indians, Bangla Deshi's, Myanmar, Indonesians, maybe Vietnamese... AND a few foreign BEGGARS in the middle in between the Pasar Malam stalls.
Yes, this is at Subang Jaya. I believe many of these people could be working in the nearby industrial area.
Is this getting typical and what you folks like to see flourishing?

Think back to our ancestors. Its the exact same thing as these people now, either they were recruited to work here or they came on their own to seek a better life. They have every right to be here, as long as they are here LEGALLY. As for those here illegally, yes......kick them out!

No, I won't get used to it (as far as I've observed) and will not loose any sleep on what other readers here may think about my POV. This is an open forum and any views for or against may appear. I've not insisted anywhere here, you or anyone else are to wholly accept my views for, against, positive or negative.
