If your neighbour is friendly, have a chat with him.

a little calmer....
Try talking, somehow i doubt it will do any good.
As tied up i assume the dog barks a lot? If so report it.
Can you see if the dog has a license tag? If not report the owner.
Any local animal rescue center you could call?

Release the dog, tie up the owner, leave without food and water :mad:The last time there was a thread by Orchipalar about a dog owner bringing his dog to do its business in front of his house. One forumer also suggested to kick the owner and kena banana'ed. I think KWChang is still in CNY mood so okay lah for now...

Kicking is violence act but tied up without food and water is inhuman act. But I have a solution which is more humane and non violence
Just tied up the owner at his own house, let him bark all he wants and let him drink or eat as much as he can. ;)
Dog happy, neighbour happy, dog lover happy, owner pun happy especially drinking brandy and biting something nutty. :D
Now I worry, whether I would get a banana over this!

I have consider talking to them but decided it would probably be counterproductive :) The dog does not bark I am not close enough to see any tag. who do I report to??

Thats really what I was asking .. is there such a thing??

Is it wrong to tie up a dog, I don't think it is a cruelty. Probably that owner afraid that the dog ran away or do it's business everywhere. So long that the owner feed the dog, take good care of the dog (such as play with the dog, bath the dog, etc..) I don't think you need to bother it. To me, it is cruelty if the owner always beat the dog, kick the dog or anything.

If you consider locking and tied up as cruelty... then SPCA should not be consider Protection of Cruelty Agency already as all the dogs are being locked up!

is it being tied in the house compound?

what i understand, is one of the way to train a dog to protect their territory. tied up in diff places so that the dog would be able to protect you house..

i am not so sure about this, maybe some dog expert or trainer could advice on this..

I guess your idea of cruelty is different to mine .. :) So there is an SPCA thankyou!

just the smell of a banana makes me heave, but i'll happily kick the owner of any abused dog and throw up later :D

You say "tied up" and use the word cruel, so i got a mental picture of a dog tied up tight, not allowing movement. Normally this makes a dog bark a lot.

But if the dog is quiet, is he tied to a long running line so he can move about? Does he have access to food, water and shade?
If so not much point in reporting the owner.

For me, why buy a dog if you are just going to tie him up?
A dog is a pack animal, craves human attention, wants to be a part of the family.

My dog is free to go where he likes within the house and yard, and he does.
Try kicking 50 kilo of Rottweiler out of your bed :D

Nup its tied on about a 6ft chain and lies down most of the time .. whines sometimes but rarely barks .. a cat just walked past it and it didn't move .. I think its on the way out poor thing .. it has a little shade in the afternoon but not much .. I guess it must be fed otherwise be dead now. :( I will call the SPCA and ask their opinion .. let you know!

many blur sotong tied up their dog/s for whatever the reasons...if 'em doggies are fed and have access to fresh water the whole day, then u just have to tutup 1mata.

if 'em dogs are mistreated, u can do this
1. talk to the owner
2. tie up the owner & release the dogs
3. get spca Tel: +603-42565312, 42535179 Email: spca@streamyx.com

Yang Bitch lovin' latotupai

p/s I was in an industrial area. there was this pup tied up in a factory compound with minimum shade from a tree branch. there wasnt any water and the scared skinny pup was visibly dehydrated and softly whining away...I walked into the factory to face some 7-8 guys of all sorta races. I asked whose pup that was and was told it belongs to the boss. Bossman came out...and i asked him to get some water for his pup...and also that his pup is undernourished and suffering from the heat.

Bossman looked shock for 1minit, then he turned to his workers and asked 1 to go fetch a container and give the pup a drink...I walked away when the poor pup was noisily slurping up the water...

Sad sometimes to be a dog belonging to the wrong owner. Life is a bitch indeed!

i am a dog lover....

and the dogs would know if you're NOT.

try walking up to a 50kg Rott and play with the fella... who happens NOT to be your dog!! but a neighbors' dog down the road...

I'll post pics to prove this point... :D

Every time I do it (play with that fella)... the owner scratches his head and wonder how the heck I get to walk away with my jewels intact... :p

guess me a dog lover too!!!
