What FnG has anything to do with mosquitoes ?
Perhaps some abandone or delay development, empty houses or clogged drains are favorite places for m'toes to breed . Right thing to do, newspapers reporters should report the real facts to keep MPSJ aware of breeding site.
Perhaps, you should be proactive with courage to attend FnG meeting tomorrow on 27th February 2010 to release your dissatisfaction over the Project.
Don't go around and around like the broken cassette player(now ppl use Ipod, Mp3 or Mp4), it does cause earth warmimg and some ppl may not able to it. :D :D :D

Mosquitoes found breeding in broken plastic barriers by the authorities. Didn't you read the newspapers? There are already other reports from what I have heard that oil drums are also breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

That's what I have been doing the past month trying to tell people like you of the dangers of putting barriers- now you kena dengue!

You sound like a broken Ipod/MP3 yourself! :D :D

There are many USJ/SJ residents out there who are well travelled and experienced in life. This is a good thing as it helps to broaden their outlook, gain more experience and thus usually their views are more matured unlike "frogs croaking in the well" - probably young upstarts who haven't even ventured beyond USJ!

As a veteran journalist I have travelled to many countries (except Iceland, South America, Canada and the Antarctic) on my own expense ( I love to travel) or as an assignment. I have seen how fearful residents of certain quarters in Johannesburg gated and barb-wired their communities as well as many urban and rural communities in China from Chengdu to Kwangchow to Harbin.
I have seen the highly civic-minded attitudes of the Japanese (been to Japan 15 times) and still invited by property developers to visit (or go on own accord) new developments that include many high-end GnG schemes in Malaysia.

The most recent being the Twin Palms Sungai Long on Thursday (Feb 25). Lest some of you may think I am boasting- I have to because joni called me an old casette player (I own an IPOD and many modern gadgets which probably you may not even have!) - like looking down on an old man not knowing anything.

Such insulting remarks reflects a waste of your parents' efforts and education for you.

Since many of you have not seen the world (including I suspect many newly elected and young politicians) you may not understand issues at hand but more importantly is the level of maturity and sense of justice.

Many of our politicians say things or implement programmes without thinking through the whole matter properly and some of their actions reflect their lack of experience.

Go out joni and see the world!

As per Robertec's earlier advice, we agree to disagree. But why do you keep on repeating the same issues over and over again?

The problem with you is that you make many baseless assumptions. We all know your feelings towards GnG but there is no need to go carpet-bombing. A 'veteran journalist' should know better.

Read my post again. I said he was making baseless assumptions and doing carpet bombing when he said "Since many of you have not seen the world (including I suspect many newly elected and young politicians) you may not understand issues at hand but more importantly is the level of maturity and sense of justice".

Whether I have been banned or was using another nick has nothing to do with this argument.

And who are you calling 'STUPID'?

What carpet bombing? What baseless assumptions?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, baseless or otherwise. That's my impression of some politicians. Why get so sensitive?

How come you guys/gals keep on saying I repeat issues? I merely make remarks when people indirectly say I am an imbecile or like joni said I use a casette recorder.

For your info, journalists are equipped with digital recorders and we don't type on manual type-writers nor do we hang around street corners ready to jump out from the shadows when an accident occur.

Journalism is one of the most interesting and rewarding professions in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I didn't want to tell the world my history but joni's haughty behaviour prompts me to enlighten him.

What's so great about an MP3/IPod etc? Trouble with some youngsters, they think such gadgets are so cool and they are so great having these little toys.

Why, when I was 22 in my first newspaper job at the National Echo (defunct now), I clambered on board Malaysia's famous Spica M fast strike craft and witnessed the firing of our Exocet missile during the joint Malaysian-Indonesian naval exercise off Pulau Langkawi in 1975. I took great shots with my Yashica FX3 while the speed boat was travelling at 50 knots, and my story appeared as a centre-spread and I earned my first byline. That is real COOL man!!

In a few threads, SCCHEAH commented,

1.Mosquitoes found breeding in broken plastic barriers by the authorities.
I suggest ‘veteran journalist’ should published in newspaper to inform Authorities possibility of imposing penalty on them for causing the breeding ground. They made mistake they take the responsibilty
2. …. .. from what I have heard that oil drums are also breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Its baseless. Everybody knew that Oil Drums have 2 openings, one big & one small. If both opening close properly and pour some diesel inside the drums, it is impossible mosquitoes can breed inside drum without oxygen. Mosquitoes life cycle. (learn in secondary science)
3. … joni called me an old casette player (I own an IPOD and many modern gadgets which probably you may not even have!)
Sorry to say, yes you are, like an old cassette player keep repeating same old songs like "frogs croaking in the OIL DRUMS".
You have any problem with our politicians, why you go so far ? I feel sorry for you. Anyway, thank GOD you are not the elected politician, errrrrrrr if you are, I just cannot imagine what is going to happen to the communities.
