Gangster are now flourishing with the G & G community. I overheard at pasar malam that many gangs are setting up units to "PROTECT" houses. Taiko's are collecting money from house to house. I think we better stop these before it becomes out of countrol.

What was heard is not impossible.... with the increase of demand for security guards, the security firm may just take in anyone, so long is cheap. It may happen that the security guard employed will act as 'insider' to the gang. :eek: So, there should be some kind of screening and monitoring system by these GnG committee to ensure quality guard being engaged to guard the area.

Read the Star- Metro Section (Central) today (Thursday, Feb 25, 2010). Authorities have confirmed that broken plastic barriers used in GnG are a new form of breeding grounds for aedes mosquitoes including in USJ11!!! Many larvae have been found.

This is no cock and bull story but official reports. USJ11 is one of the hardest hit dengue areas.

So those oil-drum happy residents should take note. You and your family members may fall sick or worse die of dengue fever because of your foolish actions! What is even worse is that the mosquitoes may also fly to adjacent neighbourhoods that are not GnG/FnG and people die because of YOU!

There are also reports that other areas in USJ where health authorities have found larvae inside oil drums! I have said this before but people call me an old broken record. Massive fogging in USJ11. I have photos to support this.

taikor, i buy the general statement of oil drums are potential source of breeding nests for mozzies.

overplaying the Star report on dengue and saying this was the foolish actions of FnG residents is over the limit and off tangent. there are many better ways to advise residents on dengue prevention.
