Unauthorised RELA men in uniform going around in housing area

Dear Residents

It was reported that unauthorised RELA men in uniform were spotted around SS18 knocking at empty houses today(Saturday, 30/01/2010). Chief Inspector Suliaman of Balai Polis Subang Jaya was contacted by members of public and has informed us that there was no such "operasi".

Polis are now looking for 2 men dressed in RELA uniform. Please call the Polis immediately should you spot them.

It is always better to be safe than sorry, should you suspect anything, just call the Polis, we have assurance from the Polis that they do not mind even when suspicions are not true. It is always good to take preventive and proactive actions.

More recently (slightly before the Chinese New Year Holidays) these 2 RELA men were spotted in USJ5 asking residents for keys to the backlane gates.

Please be informed that RELA personnel are not authorised to operate by themselves.

They must be accompanied by either Immigration or Polis Officers.

If you see RELA personnel abusing their authority immediate call the Polis.
