That is a search profile. Tried it but it did not yield any positive lead.

Thanks anyway.

If you know basic bookkeeping, its easy to do it on a spread sheet... I used that to keep track of projects (CAPEX) for my company from 2002 to 2008.... worth couple of millions... then I print it out monthly... for safekeeping and file it up...

Takes a longer time to figure out how software works...and their limitation...

I totally agree that it takes time to figure out how the software works.

Since I am using it for simple accounts with less than 50 GL a/cs, (no creditors, debtors, journals, etc) I have half a mind of using spreadsheet.

Only challenge is that I am not familiar on how to create the formula for double entry bookkeeping. ie. keying in the debit entry in one account & it automatically have a credit entry in the other designated account.

Cheers.

Apologies, might have given the wrong impression.

Am very well versed in bookkeeping. Now looking for a simple double entry bookkeeping software or a tailored double entry bookkeeping spreadsheet.

How about selling your copyrighted double entry accounting spreadsheet to me?
Then there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Errr....I just use the excel to do my projects accounting. Dont think you will understand... just very simple adding up and and cross references between worksheets... build it up as I go over the months... and years... simple stuff... no macros or diff calculation... then some charts for the boss... a summary page ....Month to date and year to date....for each projects... and all projects.

Every type of cost, I assign a code... C for Contract Payment, H Hardware, T Travelling S stationery.... U can sort by code also and select all to find total cost....
