G&G - Approvals needed - extracted by Admin

Someone mentioned that the neighbourhoods are looking like prisons. I think it looks more like some warzone. Some GnG use the cheapest materials - poorly painted drums (red and white) which they use to barricade the road (permanently). After a while rubbish and dirt collect round it and it is totallly ugly.

Some guards are so zealous that they stop all cars and take down driver particulars even during the day. Of couse some poor drivers are not aware of their rights and just provide the information.

For some neighbourhood, in their attempt to block the roads with barricades (permanently) they must have realised that in case of emergency, for example a police car need to respond, they have to make a big round as the more direct route is block, and this give more time for the criminals to run off.

Where is this country heading to ?

I actually have no intention of making any more comments in this Subang Jaya/USJ website as I have said all I have to say although there were attempts to ridicule and attack anti-FnG people like me.

I am planning to take this protest to the next level.

For a start, I have made a police report last night against the setting up of these illegal road blocks. The report number is USJ8/001276/10.

I nearly bang into some oil drums when I was coming from SS19 along Persiaran Tujuan and trying to turn into USJ2 last night. I was going to my kids' day care centre to pay my monthly fees to the centre.

Suddenly out of nowhere (no lights at all), I nearly crashed into about a dozen oil drums placed at the junction. I would normally have swerved from Persiaran Tujuan and turned right into the bungalow area.

To say I am mad is an under-statement!!!

Why are you all allowing all these barricades everywhere. What is happening to you all people???!! Why are your lives controlled by the RA committee members? Why are your lives controlled by foreign guards and security firms?

It's down right very selfish to do all this!!

I'm totally agree with you... I has seen a fair share of USJ area making into confine slash prizon like area... and now my area USJ2 is going to make into one... but I'm not sure what we can do... I believe we are in the minority...

Not sure what I can do to disapprove this as even our MPSJ/JKP/YB Hannah Yeoh are approve of this... for us minority to come out to oppose this would make us the talk of the neighboorhood... it will just spoil the neighboorhood harmony if you see 2 sides of opinion... I don't even dare to express my objection against the G&G to my neighboors (whom are totally supportive of G&G... and has pass me the flyer... and try to convince me to be supportive of this... I hav nothing against my neighboor... but is just a choice of living...)

I am totally against G&G as it is violating my privacy/convinient... If I were to wish for a housing area with top G&G security I would have stay in Condo/high security apartment/housing area like tropicana/glenmarie etc...

My friend in USJ11 is facing the same problem where one side of his road is being barricades... himself don't know how to express his dis-approval as it seem (from what we have being told, but no way to verify it) that majority had sign up to agree on the G&G service...

Now I am totally in fear that USJ2 is going to be fenced up like a prizon... :(

this is the typical senario , no one wants to be the bad guy.
by tagging your house as not a paying resident, the RA hv already single u out to be the bad guy, by not issueing u a car sticker , again u r being single out.
actually there r a lot u can do, question is do u want hassle.

in a court of law.
u can sue
1. the police- if u hv made a police report n the police is not taking any action. the police is liable for encouraging vigilante.
2.mpsj- for surrendering public property to private interest
3.RA- for restricting n obstructing your movement as a house owner
4.sime uep n mpsj- for fraud( as u were led to believe that u hv brought yourself a house in an open concept community)

if we hv to go into the law, there is still a long list as to what we can sue.regardless of what everyone is saying, consult a lawyer n u will know what u can do about it, question is will u be willing.

If the police do not take any action after 7 days, go to Bt. Aman, D11 - Tata-Tertib and make a complaint. D11 is the police for the police. They will make an enquiry with the balai concerned and do the necessary.

USJ4 has also placed drums behind huge gates. The road is just off the main road and that is down right illegal. Remember guys, these roads are NOT GAZETTED roads. As such, the police HAS to take action when a report is made pertaining to these road closures. And also, not one authority, ie. MPSJ, Police, Bomba etc has approved this F&G. We do have a case against these fanatics!!!!

While I am pleased with your support ausong, allow me to correct you that we are not in the minority. As a veteran journalist it is my business to talk to people from all walks of life.

Many people are like you- who are just fearful of voicing out their opinion or perhaps are unable to express themselves properly.

No fear, we are not in the minority. There are lots of powerful people out there who will be taking up the cudgel to fight this injustice.

Be brave. Speak up. Don't let a few people frighten you. In the first place, the law is on our side.

I agree with drifting over that giving out car stickers to differentiate between paying and non-paying residents and placing RA plaques for paying members at gate pillars are already a form of victimising non-paying residents besides segregating them. We seem to be in the clutch of fanatics as what lord puts it..these are fanatics all under the guise of protecting the safety of the neighbourhood.

I have come across RA committee members who arrogantly boasted: "We have 500 paying members. Speak to us. We are the employers of the guards!"

The only reason I do not wish to have the Fence/Gate is it violate my privacy by fencing up making my neighboorhood look like a confine area... it violate my right to use the road (very inconvinent)... I'm ok if guards is hired to patrol...

Yes... I hate the hassle of lodging a police report... as well as being alienated bcuz it seem that you are being a 'trouble maker' for not agreeing with the F&G concept...

It would be interesting if one is to start legal action against this F&G... Would really like to hear more about this...

I share your feelings. Having guards on bikes can be tolerated but not a caged community in an existing township. One blog's editor has called me "another loud mouth".

Even without anti-FnGs taking up legal action, lodging reports here and there etc, I believe the FnGs will die a natural death simply because the way it is being done is all wrong.

Initially people may bear with it but after awhile the pro-FnG residents will end up fighting among themselves when they cannot stand all the inconveniences, poor collection etc.

Look at a typical condo - including the upmarket ones. There are some residents who don't pay up due to various reasons. In these cases (including landed strata properties), the law can force you to pay up - like sealing your property and auctioning off whatever is inside the unit. You have to abide by the rules spelt out in the bylaws when you sign the sale & purchase agreement. I've forgotten the term for this document.

Lord,my fren i think it's in Pusat Bandar Damansara,somewhere around Starbucks as my classmate(RMC boy-chinese) is the kepala there,his job is to sack police staff after investigation of failure in duty.
