"The Malaysian Government appears to be more interested in pursuing short-term political advantage rather than safeguarding rights, said Human Rights Watch deputy Asia director Phil Robertson. (Published in the Star newspaper: Thursday January 21, 2010 )

Also lots of critics reported on various issues including treatment given to opposition parties, restriction of media, etc

Do our country leaders really care ?

perhaps we should be guided by this point, and ensure our next elected leaders put this top of their priority

perhaps we should be guided by this point, and ensure our next elected leaders put this top of their priorityAnd would you care to share with us how you exactly plan to carry this out effectively than just mere rhetorics?

Rakyats need country leaders that

1) keep corruption ZERO

2) Human right FIRST

- eliminate poverty; the mother of lots of social illnesses

3) Racial interest LAST

Politicians always use the same old tricks in the bag to garner support.

1/ divide and rule by racial lines and religion issues.

2/ harassment of oppositions either by lawsuits or jails

3/ corruptions or promises of upgrade of the constituency

Now, still wanna talk about Human Rights? In fact, the basics of Human Rights are FREEDOM and EQUALITY!
Are we even experience the very basic of freedom when our safety at our own backyard are being compromised that we have to have guarded and gated homes?

Do we have the human rights where we can expect the same rights the VIP get hand shake when they are escorted to the police station whereas the normal guys get handcuffed when they are brought to the Balai for questioning?

Even lighting up candles is deemed to be dangerous enough to be arrested on the spot whereas people who kicked dead animal heads get special treatment?

And the list goes on pendatansg who forefathers were born and bred here and those pendatangs who just came boating here.

Human Rights - yeah right - to the bottom! More like freedoomed! :p  :p
