"Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah today criticised Malaysians who have emigrated, saying it was “wrong” and insinuating that they were betraying the sacrifices of their forefathers."

:D What's the beef anyway? Those who leave are usually anti- establishment and always voted against your govt...So it should be a blessing...It's every human fundamental right to go and move anywhere they wish...And talking about betrayal...TAR will be rolling in the grave seeing how this country has denigrated into...

The cheek to brand so many as "pendatang" including me...and to expect utmost patriotism?.. how narrow thinking our politicians really are!
I AM SO SURE dear Tunku will be rolling if he ever sees what it have come to.

No lah!.. ANYTHING you're against local policy or tradition is considered betrayal. You sink with the ship if you have to. Thats the mentality here

What, we are betraying the country? What a great joke!

Call us pendatang, ask us to get out, then say we betray the country??? [BIG Capt Picard facepalm.jpg]

Dato Seri Husni Hanadzlah... you can go fly a kite as far as I am concerned. How can you expect people to be loyal to a country that do not treat them equal or give them equal opportunities but rather threatened with expulsion and what have you?

Its easy for you to say things like this because you get everything handed to you on a silver platter and you get everything you want and need (and even those you don't need).

Listen to me again Dato, go fly a kite! I stay in Malaysia on my own free will and I leave Malaysia on my own free will too. My loyalty is not for you to question.

hmm isn't that the same guy who once said: 'kalau tak suka kebijikan UMNO, keluar!' ????that says it all about his attitude, doesnt it.

Narrow-minded...and not afraid to say it.

Wonder how shocked he would be to realize that Malaysia isnt the whole world.

Cheers, m

The problem with these people is that they do NOT know they are narrow-minded... they think they are EVERYTHING! Just look at the Deputy Education Minister and his poor command the English language in his own blog... yet he was chiding people on why they cannot master other languages wakakakaka!

JUST IGNORE THEM LAH!... They can say anything they want when they think they own the land indefintely. How to ignore these snorts when they keep poking into your life and tell you what you can or cannot wear, eat, pray and what else.... so, you ignore them and leave the country and they even call you ungratefuls! And today, yes today, they announced last day to submit income tax returns on April 30 at JHDN Building at Weld Quay, macamana tak bolih mati?

What to do?.. No mere mortal here alone can do anything concrete, save only with will power to ignore their snorts. There's nearly NOTHING that can stop the nonsense snorts indefinitely. It'll go on and on till kingdom come, reckon worse still if they loose next GE. I even think there'd be more snorts laced with arrogant tone if and when they're are retained next GE. Meanwhile, Ignore and dismiss them among ourselves..thats that. Its somethig better to do than nothing at all.

If ignore them, they think we are 100% support for thier statement. To me, they are just like cockroaches or rats. If you ignore them, they breed and breed some more. That is why in the last election, we didnt ignore them at all. We made a statement that we need to change them outright!

Zinggy, well said. It is not enough to just rant and rant about the pest. We must not ignore these cockroaches and rats but do something about it. Be the pest-buster. :-)

Well said, Sentinel.

I repeatedly advised my nephew and nieces and will advise my kid when time comes, go to a country where you will be treated based on merits.

Loyalty and patriotism !!! Should remain in dictionary only in bolehland.

Thats what happened to those fellas that went to Taiwan to further their education in electronics.... remember why, because they did not get placements in a local uni..... went on to design the USB thumbdrives... rest is history, no?

This minister's statement is a classic case of a management not willing to acknowledge their internal problems but prefer to put the blame on others. It is easier that way for them. The problems are those ungrateful citizens who leave. Never mind the institutionalized and ever growing discrimination they face everyday in their daily lives. Or the fanatics, both religious and political, who vow to burn down buildings every time someone voices their dissent. Or a government who makes no attempt to hide their preference for a certain race instead of being a government for all races - so eloquently expressed through the voices of its leaders, and through policies and guidelines based on certain narrow interpretation of history. And most of all, the breaking down of law and order, the deteriorating standards in all our national institutions, and the complicity of our enforcement agencies to protect and keep the incumbents in power at all costs.

If God has not called me to stay back, I would have been long gone. But that cannot be said for my children so I wish them God's speed and God's blessing. Perhaps one day, when I am old and retired, I may join the exodus of the millions of ungrateful citizens and enjoy my time with my grandchildren elsewhere instead of listening to childish politics and immature men and women in power.
