Hi, I have various items to giveaway including stove, chairs and clothes for kids, women and men. Would any of the you kindly know anyone or any charity places nearby in USJ would be needing such things? Thank you in advance.

You can call PERTUBUHAN AMAL SERI SINAR (the big ORANGE recycling bin near most strategic junction) - the collect and recycle for charity. There is one such bin at USJ4/5 - opposite the Restoran New APollos, or in case, you have bulky items, they can come and collect as well: 03-9021 1888 (hp: 016-2037022 / 012-6661633).

Actually I doubt that this is a charity organisation.
I think it is a private company collecting old items and sell and then donate a small part for charity.

This is the official website:

http://www.recyclecharity.org/en/

So far looks legit to me and also from my dealings with them on bulky items , feels ok, no suspicious or shady motives detected; although no info on the P&L or accounts online for us to check/verify. Maybe ROS record?

I don't think they have been silence in the negative context, it is more the case of them going about their charity recycling work in earnest without all the hype and song-and-dance normally with other organisations. I remember having read about their work and charity Non-profit org setup once a few months back in Star Metro. IMHO, they are doing the community a great service as they are helping to recycle our discards instead of the discards ending up in landfills, some more, they are not asking for cash, just our "junk" for recycling. In that context, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on their charitable and recycling motives and efforts :)
