I cannot believe that this newspaper could be so stupid as to state the amount of money at the school. Talk about painting a target on your back. A little thoughfulness would go a long way here!

Whoaa! The school headmaster is in deep ****! According to the General Orders a school cannot keep so much cash in the school premises over night (as it is not safe). All money collected has to be banked in before the end of the day. If it cannot be avoided, HMs have to seek police help in keeping the money in the police station. Standard practice. The thieves must have known about the money as this is the beginning of the year and a lot of school fees are being collected. During my time we have to make sure all the money collected is banked in and asked parents' cooperation to pay the fees latest before 2.00 pm for us to go to the bank to deposit the money. Any money lost is the responsibility of the HM - who has to replace the loss with his own cash! Disciplinary action can also be taken against the HM - with possible transfer and/or demotion.
