Another project under the aegist of BN is coming under scrutiny for alleged corruption. This time it is the latest Shah Alam Hospital being build to the tune of RM500 million for a 300 beds hospital. Normally, as a rule of thumb each bed will cost round about 1 million which will make this hospital to come up to around the RM300 million price tag rather than the exobitant RM500 million. I wonder what the Sultant of Selangor has got to say about this issue and the faster the better. :D

If it is a new hospital, is it a government or private hospital?

Cheers, m

The MACC will not be bothered to investigate even if you have 500 people screaming your heads off in front of Plaza Masallam in Shah Alam. They don't report to you the Rakyat. They report to their beloved Pinklips Minister (PM) so they don't need to be bothered by what yoiu taxpaying rakyat got to say. Sorry, wait for next GE13 then maybe they will listen to you. Right now, sorry.

p.s. If SJ/USJ people still not bothered to get registered as voters and vote in the next GE13, the situation will be the same. We only got ourself to be blamed....

I remember a recent media feature that residents were asking for the clinic in Shah Alam to be upgraded to a hospital or have a hospital built.

Imagine how they must feel to know that people are taking advantage of their concerns for the health of their community.

How sick (pardon the pun) must people be to take advantage of the construction of a public hospital? :(

Cheers, m

That is what I am waiting for too and I hope more people will do likewise and not just play lip service.

Do you expect politicians who talk as if they are like God, shed croc tears and smile like a tiger when they go around shaking hands not to take advantage of people? Power corrupts with KaChing $$$ sign in thier eyes and they take your pants too if you are not careful.

The twist with this hospital project is the involvement of the royalty in it. Same with the gamuda thingy up north. Could this also the reason for the recent proclamation on the Allah word subject by the sultan of Selangor?

There is always a reason why MACC stays away from investigating any penyelewengan. There are "vested interests" in some of these projects. Thats why they are more interested in investigating the 10kg Hari Raya cake presented to Tok Guru Nik Aziz....

Since when has any govt project not been overpriced?
In 2003 the Ministry of Health bought over the Sabah Medical Center building for more than RM 200 million. As a benchmark, Sime Darby only got a bid of around RM 165 million for SJMC around the same period (lock, stock and barrel). Then the MOH spent more money to refurbish the building. Sabah Medical Centre then took the money and build their own new building.

Last I heard, they are again selling the "new" building to the govt. Must be more profitable building and selling hospital buildings to govt than it is to run a private hospital.

Just imagine how many hundred millions in USD are stashed safely away in Swiss Banks and offshore banks like Rabobank, ABN Amro, Deutsche Bank, RBS, Barclays etc.... by corrupted Malaysian politicians and businessmen.

dude... each night I ponder and ask myself this ONE question... ARE ALL MALAYSIANS REALLY THAT STUPID!!? All the facts, all the evidence, all the details - put in front of US to see - and yet we have some... no, most of US too ignorant or just too damn busy - working, to make ends meet - oblivious that those 'so-called' elected representatives are robbing us and the nation blind... and they still keep on digging in... like frenzied rabid dogs...

... the multi million dental mansion in shah alam, the P/Klang mansion and all the other mansions ( or rather, aptly named palaces!!! ). Please don't insult our intelligence to say that all these can be bought with a (Malaysian) politician official paycheck... mebbe a Singaporean MP, it would be possible; but with a Malaysian MP paycheck..... who is kidding who la???

... Now we are all hoping that come the next GE13, we can really open our eyes and send these [God forsaken] politicians to hell.... question is, will these idiots go quietly OR otherwise... heck, they were willing and (God forgive me if I am wrong!) tried to stir ****, with the Allah word issue. That failed... now losing power is an entirely a different story. I am praying real HARD that what I fear most, doesn't happen!!

* Guess what "F" stands for in the "F-class"..... to be polite, I'd say "FAILED" but feel free to change it to a FOUR LETTER-ED WORD... Thank you.
