my visit to Senq, HSL, Harvey Norman and Best Denki only produce that the no longer carry the tube type TV, I just want to buy a cheaper TV while waiting for the war on LCD vs LED vs Plasma to produce a winner beside I have no money :(
I want to take advantage of the Amex 15% cash back rebate that's why I need to visit those outlet. And Samsung is advertising big time for TV in newspaper which include the CRT one but guess what, it is not sold!

There's a 32" toshiba LCD tv in tesco $13xx only. When it breaks down, it'll be time to upgrade to LED tv.

CRT TVs are still sold in hypermarkets like Carrefour and Giant (not sure about Tesco). The price difference of new LCD 32" TV and CRT 29" TV is less than RM500, why don't you consider getting a new LCD 32" TV then?

I have a 29" that I'm not using which is still in perfect working condition. If you don't mind a used unit, I'm willing to let go of it for a min fee. Just PM me.

i have found my personal winner already...Plasma

watching LCD in the shop for 10 minutes gave me a headache, too bright, agressive colors, while plasma is much easier on the eyes.

Checking on the LED recently the sales guy told me so proud that LED is even brighter than LCD  my eyes almost started burning only from hearing that

besides LED = 2x LCD, LCD = 2x Plasma...so i got my favorite for the cheapest price.

anybody, LCD-fan, can tell me disadvantages of plasma ?
wonder if there is any reason behind that pricing or is it just a marketing strategy ???

for the old conventional TV we have to go to museum soon. when i bought my last one they told me already that production will stop anytime soon. Bought extended warranty and should it break down most likely they will replace it with an LCD set

I too frist wanted to buy the Plasma for its better value offer. However, after comparing side by side, I decided to get the LCD as I prefer brighter & shaper picture & the colour is more vivid. For those who prefer softer picture, Plasma might be the choice.
