my dad's car alarm system has gone koo-koo and is messing up the whole electronic system of his car. went to the eon authorised service centre, and they told him that eon does not manufacture the part any more (my dad drives an old wira) and adviced him to change the whole alarm system.

i'd like to know if anyone could recommend a decent car alarm system seller/installer somewhere in subang area, don't want to buta-buta just go into any shop and then get ripped off or something like that. no need the high end cobra and all that lah, just a normal system will do.

U can go to SS 15 along the 4d shops rite at the corner beside the chinese hawker stall. Look for Quester Lim. Speak to him.

They do car alarms and audio. A bit pricy but highly recommended

I think you should go to Brother's in Kelana Jaya who offer dirt cheap alarm with installation on the spot for RM30.I normally buy car CD's from them.Recently bought a CD(JVC)for RM230.

They also have a branch in Puchong. You may want to go there instead as it's nearer SJ but of course, there is the toll to be reckoned with. :p

I've always had reservations of locally made, OEM supplied economy type alarm systems in some local cars. Surely these will perform ok for first few years and anything can happen much later on. I attribute the intense heat in the car that eventually destroy the alarm electronics and thats one reason why it goes cuckoo or doesn't work at all. I only hope current generation alarm systems are more durable. Say bye bye or more trouble to cars that are frequently parked in the hot sun.

Reckon you'd realize it wasn't worth it, should the car go missing in a week's time.

Actually, what i really meant was SJ alert forumers getting a special price for rm80 while any frens of Jan can get it for RM30. ;) ;)
I was going to install the new alarm as the old one was giving me headches last month as cause my battery to become disfunctional as well as the other gadgets like beam lights and etc.
Anyway, just need a simple alarm without GPS tracking as mine is just the baby Saga trying to grow up one day to be a red Ferrari. Right now, it is Fer Jalan aje. :D ;) :D

I thought you have a restaurant in the SS area?

Contact Lydia or KT Lim and tell them you are an SJ Alert Member.

Would be good enough if you had the SJ Alert Sticker on your car.
