Subject: Decomposed Body Of Japanese Man Found in SS17
To: TH TEOH <thteoh@sjecho.com.my>
THE highly decomposed body of a Japanese man was found in his apartment in SS17 Subang Jaya today.
Muneshige Kuroda, 78 was found dead lying in his bath tub after security guards suspected something amiss when they received a complaint from a neighbour of a stench that was coming from his apartment.
Security guard Amy Za, who was on duty made some checks outside the apartment unit.
"There was a stench and I thought it was that of a dead animal. After awhile, I noticed flies at the glass window and feared the worst," she said.
Amy immediately notified her management who then called the police.
The police team, led by Chief Inspector Sulaiman Baputty from the SS17 police station came across the gruesome find when they entered the apartment unit.
Subang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Abd Aziz Abd Majid said a forensics team was despatched to the scene to investigate the case.
"We suspect Kuroda had died of natural causes about a week ago based on the condition of his body."
"His body will be sent for a post mortem to determine the cause of death," he said.
It is understood Kuroda who is a widower, has been living in the apartment for more than 15 years.
His real estate agent who declined to be named, told police he last saw Kuroda two weeks ago when he went over to collect the rent.
"He lives alone after his wife passed away about eight years ago. He would occassionally ask me to fetch him out to buy things," the agent said.
