KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- The 2002 Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) results announced Tuesday showed encouraging performance by the national schools (SKs) and national-type schools (SJKs).

Director-General of Education, Datuk Abdul Rafie Mahat, said the improvement covered all papers for the SKs and six papers for the SJKs.

<FONT SIZE="+1">198 Tamil school pupils get straight As for their UPSR</FONT>

Both the Malaysia Nanban and Tamil Nesan gave extensive coverage to the UPSR results; exulting over the achievement of Tamil primary schools.

A total of 198 pupils scored straight As for all subjects they sat for, a 20% improvement compared with last year.

The 198 pupils will be accorded recognition at a coming gathering to be presided by MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, reported Tamil Nesan.

Regretably, I still can't find news items in the Malaysian websites
reporting the stats for UPSR performance among the Sekolah
Kebangsaan - especially those located in Subang Jaya.

Anyone should come across, please post here.

SK Subang Jaya celebrates, as 126 of their Year Six pupils produced outstanding results in this year’s Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) by scoring the maximum 5As.

The school not only earned a place among the top 44 national schools in the country but also emerged top among five Subang Jaya schools in the list.
