Last year I lost my car in one of the well known shopping complex, I felt very sad because the insurance company never compensate me in full so just consider luck was not with me.

Today, I found out that a RM 50M jet engine was stolen for the Royal Malaysian Air Force......that show us that Malaysia is not really safe!!!!!!!

"BAD LUCK FOR RMAF" not only "ME"..

You mean someone stole a RM 50M jet engine on the instruction of the Royal Malaysian Air Force?

Most times it is ok to have a spelling mistake here and there, but in certain instances a mis-spelt word changes the meaning of the message completely.

Please re-read what you have typed before posting.

Stolen RMAF jet (http://nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/20091219074407/Article/index_html)

Dunno whether to laugh or to cry... and it apparently only took 4 people to infiltrate the RMAF and make off with it... I wonder... did they fly it off, cart it off???

Must be an insider job... how else can someone infiltrate an armed forces site and cart away a jet engine under everyone's nose?

What will they do next?

Now, that made me recall the court case for a death-penalty case, in a JB High Court I think, for a drug trafficking case.

On the day of the trial, the evidence, sealed in a box, was opened by the police and all the ecstacy pills worth millions of ringgit wasn't there.... remember, this box was in the 'safekeeping' of the police themselves... I think it was last year... let me look for the link, I remember saving this up....

SHOCKING & RIDICULOUS  A jet engine is not exactly something small that you can sneak out in a briefcase or back of a car !!

and not forgetting, all the documents also went missing...

i wonder how...

Wow, this is serious...how could anyone steal a huge jet engine? The huge size alone need a container to move. It must be an insider job, or involve insider help....plus the possible "buyer" of a stolen jet engine is likely a country that is facing trade embargo, like Cuba, Iran, Libya etc, which their government need spare parts for their jets....so there must be some international syndicate for this kind of things as well...

Anyway, very shocking...

There's a different twist to the story now. Quietly sold off without the government's knowledge or approval, pointing to betrayal or some criminal breach.

I reckon the ongoing investigation is very swift.

Maybe, just maybe, the engine wasn't delivered but it was paid for... biasalah Bolehland...

So now during audit, they claimed the engine missing... LOL! :D

I think this is not stealing, as in breaking in and carting it away quietly. I think this was taken out with false documentations and false clearance. Probably involved some people in high places also.

Hmmm... I know of one guy in this forum who has a dream of building his own plane. USJ27Resident is conspicously absent in the last 1 month from this forum. Yes, he was on hols with his family in the US but I also know he has been back a long time already.

We all know there is an illegal air strip in Janda Baik where all private planes enthusiasts gather and fly their little dream machines and land and park for RM10 each time... :D

Maybe, just maybe, USJ27Resident is there trying to squeeze the F5-E engine into a Cessna body kit? Highly likely... better call the authorities... :D :D :D

The powers-that-be had amusingly paraded the so-called "KPIs" and "KRAs" of the various ministries with the public, etc. I wonder what KPI would the Ministry of Defense garner with such an embarrassing loss of a huge Jet engine?

The thieves are the ones who had scored a better hit in terms of KPIs and KRAs.
Of course this is Bolehland... semuanya OK. :D
