Subject: SJ Alert EMS Attempted snatch theft at SS12/3A
On Saturday 14-Nov at 4:30 pm, 2 Indian guys(fat guy riding motocyle and slim guy approaching victim) on a motorcycle stopped at house no 24 and asked for directions in Malay. As the thin guy approached the gate he took our a parang and tried to get in. Intended victim screamed very loudly and pushed the gate against the perpetrator. Neighbours quickly came out and they rode off empty handed.
Learning point - Awareness saved a resident from loss or injury. Neighbourly support and some form of loud noise is very important.
