It was reported that the previous KL Mayor had a contract to buy flowers which cost the taxpayer Rm32,000,000 a year to beautify DBKL.
I think it is cheaper to buy and decorate DBKL than to have a such a team in DBKL.

32mil a year
= 2.67mil a month
= 90k worth of flowers n plants a day
I think it is cheaper to buy and decorate DBKL than to have a such a team in DBKL.
Correction:- RM$32 millions a year----that is very expensive...

I don’t know why DBKL want to plant flowers instead of trees. Trees help to cool the environment and make the air cleaner too.
Unlike trees, flowers are not lasting. RM32 million can plant a lot of trees and even the maintenance should not cost so much.

there is no need to ask whose problem it is...it is all our problem...32M is a lot of money...yes i have a problem when taxpayers money is spent in ways where there is no accountability...so please dont say that..Sentinel is just akking a question..how is this money spent!

Both of you have problem-lah because it is your tax money that they are spending. :D
Anyway, I think it is just for the DBKL building - laEN ndscape or garden escapade. Whtatever it is , it is freaking ridiculous when people in Jinjang got stuck longkang and filthy livings at the long house. And rats running marathon throughout KL
Dont have the exact details but the contract was terminated by last month. So perhaps the longkang would be cleaner and more trees would be planted........... :)
Even it is for the entire WP, it is still wrong because we dont do economic stimulus to benefit a few people. But just imagine spending the whole thing on DBKL alone. That is so gross unitl Sentinel has to asked for clarification.
Even I wanted more info but unfortunately this is what I have so far.
I have to get the bird to whisper to me more.
Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep, Where's my money gone.....Far far away, Last night I hear ex Mayor singing a song, woo woo eh, Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep, Money in my pocket to buy my honey a thong,.......
Be back after this commercial break...... :D

Ahmad Fuad was MPSJ former YDP... went to Penang and now sent to DBKL... now he is quoted, sounding rather worried that he 'might' have stepped on some toes in the process of cleaning up this mess....
To read that these contracts are given out without tenders is a clear sign of abuse of powers, if not a clear sign of corruption... but then again, with MACC seemingly taking 'selective' actions - one can only imagine if this case sees (the light of day and) any action taken by MACC.
Well... in any case... it is a start, and lets (hope and) see to more affirmative action taken by these head of departments and agencies, without fear or favor...

What the hell is MACC doing getting people to the building for RM3,200 or less. And in Perak, they even so diligent as to set up entrapment. Most cases seen, people are kicked in the butt even as witnessess to the corruption case and one was reported to be thrown out of the buildings.
What is the moral of 1Malaysia stand for ? If steal less than 10k, you get called for a interview which would last till daybreak and get your butt kicked.
If more than that , you get called up during office hours and you get to go for teh tarik break. And maybe MACC really stands for Memandang Aduan Chin Chai. :p

When ICAC was formed, there are not the ones under pressure. The ones under pressure are actually the Royal Hong Kong Police where corruption was rife. Corruptors are seen packing and even migrated, lest they would be hauled up ofr questioning and trials.
When MACC is being formed, they are the ones who is under pressured! I dont see Polis diRaja Malaysia under pressure. In fact, the IGP got extension, and his KPI is 113.8% which is out of this world.
Any logical reasons why since they are modeled after ICAC hence, the change of name to MACC? :p
