With more and more areas turning to G & G, the level of security in areas that don't have G & G will be affected. I feel this is a serious matter that has to be handled by the authority immediately. We should not take the Law into our own hands. This G & G should be a temporary issue. The Home Ministry should come forth. They should and must provide the solution. This is my view. Care to share? :(

I think this issue has been discussed to death before...but i just wanna focus on the part where you mentioned that G&G will affect those without G&G..i assume that you mean crime will be diverted to those areas?

In that case one should focus on the inability of the police force to combat crime...Why target those people who through their own efforts, want a better security for themselves thru G&G? It's like a neighbour who forbids me to install a alarm system lest the burglar chooses his home from mine...

I beg to be different.Fighting crime is both police and public effort. That is why Rakancop is create .A lot of people always take the easy way out by setting G&G.Correct me if i'm wrong,USJ 18 initial "rukuntetangga" among neighbourhood(even woman patrol in daytime)was a success later they found out some residents don't jointly doing patrolling ,they stop.We must not be selfish, putting security guards in your area means less work for police and less crime committed and less budget for police force in patroling but more budget to buy more Evos, better housing, better allowance for them.

I posted this thread. The topic is: Should the G&G be a temporary or permanent feature? Don't be cynical. I've given my views. Just post your views and opinions. It's a Forum, not a Court. :)

Agree that this G & G should be a temporary measure. However, those who should be providing the solution are leaving it to the residents to provide the solution at their expense ($). You can see this in the news by their presence during most launching of the G & G and encouraging it. As in all matters action will only be taken when certain people are affected by certain events.

Can residents of USJ take a look at the 11Trees@USJ website?

Try and post some anti-GnG comments and see whether the moderator/editor there would do it.

I tried using Anonymous but was immediately ridiculed.

I feel the situation amongst residents there is getting bad judging from their own residents' comments.

They have admitted to cases of so-called "hooligans" scolding the guards, dashing through the guard post etc. And some residents have even threatened to take photos of these culprits and post them to shame them.

They claim that some 500 residents there are for the GnG.

Firstly why are people so angry with the GnG there? Even if they seem to be the minority why are they subjected to this group of so-called majority people?

Don't they too have a right?

This GnG group I feel are actually doing something illegal and yet they call the other group "hooligans?" Who are the hooligans?

I dared jeffrey khoo to post my comments but it did not appear. So it's a one-sided way. He can verbally abuse others.

Come to this website and debate openly like a grown up Jeffrey Khoo!
