Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post the thread.

I have pretty alot of old magazines, books, and newspapers which I'd like to sell/recycle. The old newspaper van seems reluctant to take the magazines and books. Please advice if there is any place within Subang Jaya which I can sell them? Also, am looking for place to give away some old clothes, be it recycling or for charity.

Please advice. Look forward to some feedbacks soon.

Have a great weekend ahead!

I see couple of lorries collecting paper lama around usj 13 on sat and sun morning. Moving around with their loud speakers on.

If you are at court 9 there is an old uncle collecting papers from u if you dont want.

Every third Sunday of the month, bring your recyclable items,be it magazines, clothings, plastic containers, glasswares, etc. to SS15 opposite the Shell station before noon. This association(can't remember the name)sent whatever usable items to old folks homes, orphanage, and the sort. While money collected from recyclable items are donated to these places too.Its for a good cause and those people involved are all volunteers.Perhaps we can all do our part by supporting this association. Thanks!

There is a recycling centre in USJ 1, at Persiaran Subang Permai.

Thanks for sharing the information. Apparently, my hb prefers to have the old magazines sold, as most of the magazines are still very new (I beg the differ, as long as I could get rid of them and no harm to send to recycle/charity for FOC).

Any ideas if there is any old newspaper man who also accept magazines? The one I approached does not.

You can call Malaysian Newsprint Industries -- they can schedule to pick up your stuff at your convenience ... and they go by weight for mags ...

Their number: 7785 9988
