Is it true that we only have slightly more than half of our neigbourhood to join and pay for the security service that everyone is enjoying now.
So what are we doing about this? We need more community get together opportunities to break the ice.
i agree. we should have like rukun tetangga instead which made of volunteers, instead of paying them guardsmen. or maybe pay a few guardsmen but the cost cud be reduced and can be maintain by donation box only.

check out our own subang volunteer patrol unit (VPC) , the recruitment is at Summit 2pm this sunday . Call to Mak 012-3836 508 for more details.
Need only to volunteer to patrol 2hr per week. Sounds like a very good idea, eventhough the patrol may not be at the GnG areas, but making this SJ, USJ areas save for all will definitely benefit all the GnG areas too.

I think it is a good idea to have a RT-like scheme but only as a means to get to know each other. RT started some years years back and failed because people come up with excuses not reporting for duty. I think the employer were asked to give unofficial leave for those on duty. We would still need to have a scheme for paying the guards.
As for donation, I think it is highly unlikely to work.

Dear Members Of SS 19/1 Community,
In our last gotong royong event we demonstrated a Qigong class for the participants. Since then we have been exploring on how we can conduct this on a regular basis. I am glad to inform that the qigong association has approved the conduct of the the class on regular basis. Puan Khadijah Shaari is graceful enough to conduct the class every sunday between 7-8 am. It will be held at 19/1G playground starting from 14th March 2010. For those who are interested please contact Penny Cheah @ 0129149707. This is part of our effort to get members together and
