Dear all,
I heard from a friend that her friend's house got broken into and his mercedez is driven away. The robbers did not cut or break anything. They just used alan key to open his lock. His lock was that kind with big round holes for the keys to go in.
And this friend of mine said she went to the hardware shop and the shop owner recommend her a lock that its the latest....that the robbers belum tried to open yet.
Well...we are not in this line. Would like your info and ideas...please......
Many thanks,
JL

wow, that sure sounds scary. did the hardware shop lady recommended the latest door locks or latest technology padlocks? my cousin house at usj 6 got broken into 2 months ago. she is using this so-called latest technology padlocks but still the robbers manage to break open the lock. and last 2 weeks ago, her house got broken into again. and this time, the robbers didnt even tamper the alarm. took her lcd, notebook, liquors, currency and some jewellery.

Accordingly to Chief Inspector Tuan Loi of Balai Polis USJ8, if you purchase the cheap locks that are on offer at the supermarkets almost all of them can be opened with an Alan Key and they can even lockup after they have finished so that you would not even know that they have opened the lock.
To be really safe invest in good quality "branded" locks, like Yale and Solex. There are other really good locks out there but they are not cheap.
