Today's Star reported this news. I think it is a good plan because some of the school toilets really suck. The toilets are so pathetic that it is no wonder our children grow up with bad toilet habits. By having the teachers use them too, they will now ensure that the toilets are up to their "standards."

1-this, 1-that, I think I am getting sick of all these 1-whatever being constantly used by companies in the adverts and slogans and Govt agencies trying to "suck-up" to Najib - PLEASE you are giving me 1-BIG HEADACHE before 1-BIG PUKE :p

(seriously: Malaysians have to LEARN NOT TO SUCK UP to leaders, really sickening to see !!)

One nation for all, One government for all, One toilet for all. Those who "toilet" together stays together. Sounds good to me.

The ideal is good . This will certainly get the pupils to flush and aim correctly where they are going to deposit their 'cargo' . ! What about toilet paper in Gomen school? If there is , parents can saves some money on missing underwear or torn excersice book . (yes i did it in my primary school.)

Another bit of news that has come from Kuala Trengganu, surely teachers and students can find a better place to interact like why not in the canteen, eat to gether.

Can someone tell me how this 1Toilet thing work? Everytime a teacher goes to toilet, all students tag along and mingle and watch the teacher.... how does it work?

It will be very nice to start seeing teachers and students using the same toilet, eating in the same space, sitting at the same level etc. Even in most hospitals here, doctors don't eat with patients. Feudal.

1Malaysia:-

1 for U.
1 for me.

the pecking order has been around since Adam & Eve lah.

Most ordinary people need to justify/showoff their standing(perceived) in society thru whatever means publicly:
- be it special & under lock&key toilet (for management? vip? teacher?)
- or special cushioned chair (preferbly highbacked:p in front amgst row of elcheapo plastic ones
- or special cordoned off area for shiny cars & BIG motobikes :p

My dream in bolehland: ALL should be like Google Office...All things are equal.... Except the Top management park their vehicles furthest from the office premises(maybe they all got drivers???)

Good idea. There will be less dirty toilets, less food poisoning and less discrimination.

Looking at the negative flip-side, I will be worried IN CASE ANY TEACHERS GOT GATAL ideas/urges while at the toilet !!! Imagine schoolkids at their mercy ...... We read about these things happening in other countries and Malaysia is well-known for incest (sumbang mahram) etc etc ....

There are so many ways teachers and students can bond but me think this idea from Trengganu is one publicity-stunt thing... you just cannot force bonding this way.... just like you cannot force couples to stay married by offering them a free paid-for second honeymoon....

Looks like the state has nothing better to announce than this triviality. Isn't this the same state which enforces the segregation of males and females in swimming pools and separate counters for each gender at supermarkets? Yes, more like a suck-up to Najib as someone said earlier.

Aiyahhh ... Tupai just said "you got the Kelantan accent mixed up with the Terengganu accent" ... see where Kelete, rojak and Ganu came in that sentence?

if you remember, the northern states had very close history with Siam ... probably why they have this distinct accent

I know Terengganu is no more under PAS lah. But it's a fact that separate-sex swimming pools were built before PAS's time and they still remain. As to the supermarkets, I'm not 100% sure, things could have changed. But the state is not as liberal as others even though under BN, for eg, still no nightclubs or karaoke's.
