I have an 18months old son with one testicle undescended. Any moms out there have similar problem for their sons? Alot of kids with this problem grew up normally though psychologically they feel "funny". How did your kids take it? How did you get it treated? Hormone theraphy or surgery? Can chinese medicine help?

The condition is undescended testicles (or cryptorchidism). Read http://kidshealth.org/parent/pregnancy_newborn/common/crypto.html and http://health.yahoo.com/children-baby/undescended-testicle-topic-overview/healthwise--rt1113.html. According to the second website, the testicles usually descend after the baby is 3 years old. But I do suggest that you consult a doctor/specialist - pediatrician. I wish you all the best.

Learned about this in the current course that I am taking. Hormone therapy could be a future consideration when the child is a few years old. Right now, the child is growing and so are its own natural hormone levels. Enjoy the other aspects of early childhood!
