If you need treatment right away....then best you drive around tomorrow and see who is OPEN....Hari Raya hols.

Otherwise...based on previous posts....most forumers here seem to recommend Taipan Dental Surgery [seems obvious :D ]....its located in Taipan :D , opposite McD and car park.

I was very worried bout the pain too... but after 1 or 2 jab of anesthetic, didn't feel a thing. I go to Joon Dental. Lady dentist, quite good and coming from a person that has a phobia of dentists, that's saying something... :p

One thing I realised after a few personal experiences is that dentists rarely give their patients a strong pain-killer to take home. The local anaesthetic wears out after 2-3 hours and you need to take something for pain before it does. If you are going for minor surgery like extraction of impacted wisdom tooth make sure you ask for the pain-killer (tablets). ;)

If the surgery was done right, and you had no complications during surgery, then the only pain you should feel [after surgery] is that associated with the trauma of surgery.......so any normal pain killer will suffice. Paracetamol [panadol] works great, sometimes they may give you Ponstan which may not be suitable for those with gastric problems.

From my experience, most dentists will give you pain killers after any extraction or surgery.

U may need Dr Darren Yap of Yap Dental Specialist Clinic 38-2 Jalan PJS 8/2
Mentari Plaza, Bandar Sunway Tel: 56384348

The location of his clinic is on the opposite side of Sunway lagoon facing the main road. Before the traffic junction that leads you to federal highway towards the left. Just get into these shoplot area before this junction.

He has done minor surgeries to the molars on two of my young adults some years ago and it cost a little more than RM1K each.
He was recommended by our family dentist for this specialised surgery.

A young medical student from UK returned specially for this surgery too at Yap Dental as it is considered much cheaper done here.

Dont worry they all survived the experience well!
It is only the fear of the unknown.
