I have always been impressed by some of the Japanese marques like the Mitsubishi Evos, the Nissan Skyline GT-Rs and of course the Subaru Imprezzas.... to me they are affordable compared to the continental ones which are more luxurious and cost an arm and a leg and then another arm...
I have always wanted a Subaru Imprezza STI but the Limited Edition ones, the S204, where only 600 were ever made for the Japanese market.
I knew there were 8 units (new ones - not the reconditioned ones) that were shipped into Singapore and 3 made it across the causeway. In fact I know all the three owners in Bolehland and I have tested a metallic blue one too, like this one in the video.

It has 320hp and has special suspension tuned by Yamaha. It is known as "the little Ferrari beater". I really love this car... don't mind having a recond unit too....

on another note, GTR is not cheap, it cost more than an Audi S5 here in Spore (290k vs 230k)

No. I know one is owned by a Ben, Helmy (VW's son) and his brother who have the new S204 brought in thru Singapore's Subaru. They are always at Sepang on Sunday drives. GT-R is about RM600-700K here... might as well buy a second-hand Porsche GT2 2005 model for same price, 23,000 on the odometre.

S204 wasnt selling very well in spore..Not sure if u buy motor trader regularly, there's quite a few traders selling s204 abt a year or 2 back in there...Not many evo 10s selling in spore too, most probably subarus are priced much cheaper than them...
Of course 4wd's are a lot more fun and cheaper to maintain as compared to contis..

Of course 4wd's are a lot more fun and cheaper to maintain as compared to contis..Yes, I saw those adverts for the S204s but they are the ones in grey colour which are reconditioned units. I might buy the one from Ben, he has only closked 20,000 km after 3 yrs... mostly kilos clocked on Sepang Circuit.
I used to own a Golf GTI with the full ABT exhaust and bodykit... so I am keen on looking at the Renault R-26 as well....

a friend of mine drives one in spore, 5km/ltr... :DWow... 20 laps round Sepang is 12 litre fuel... RM20! I guess its expected of these performance cars but then 5 km/lit is still high. Its a 3.5 litre engine right?
