Now every security guard is going to run his finger over the trigger each time someone walks up with a face mask on :D

Saw a small write up in the star but the Summit was not mentioned in it.

After the last robbery at Subang Parade just before CNY back in 2007, I have had this phobia walking past goldsmith shops in shopping malls.

The sound of shotguns and M-15 shots still ring loud in my head. Imagine, had to rush into the Bata shop and the owner pull down the shutter and I had to kneel behind one of the shoe racks to avoid stray / richocheting bullets....

Donwan to shop just before CNY anymore and never near a goldsmith shop too...

i was also in subang parade during the robbery back in 2007. was having dinner in esquire kitchen when it happened. had a huge scare when the gunshots were heard, and i remember wondering why are they lighting fireworks. had a second scare when the cops chased the robbers to the outside and everyone in the restaurant ran to the hide in the front of the shoplot as their wall separating inside and outside is made of glass. moreover i was pregnant at that time. it took me quite a while to overcome my fear of subang parade, and especially the area new the goldsmith shop.

i was also in summit the other day, but a couple of hours later. saw the cops and reporters and the forensic van and wondered what happened. it wasn't til i read the papers yesterday that i realised that a goldsmith shop was robbed.

The genius of these H1N1 robbers is that anyone donning the masks can seem to be a suspect... well almost. How to tell the robbers from non-robbers?

Sadly crime is so much here and I do hope the police spend more time in helping us and not with the other non critical issues
