Let us start this thread with the heart of Zone 3 in mind. Yes, USJ2 - 15. We have so many crimes, bad roads, uncleared longkangs, bad business fellows who are unhygienic.

So, those in Zone 3, let's make a list of what Zone 3's councilior has failed to do, has done and what we want him to do.

Since the recent revamp of the councillor list where some were removed, is it possible that En Ismail may no longer be given the role of over-seeing USJ?

Since the recent revamp of the councillor list where some were removed, is it possible that En Ismail may no longer be given the role of over-seeing USJ?I had the same thought but I checked the list (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showpost.php?p=356411&postcount=182) in the Star and his name is still there as a councillor.

I am not sure if he is still responsible for Zone 3. Ive been told that MPSJ is still sorting out the changes with the appointment of the 4 new councillors.

If the info is available I will let you all know.

Cheers, m

I think the issues at Zone 3 are as follows:

a. Longkangs still dirty at USJ area especislaly at Taipan

b. Backlanes still unhygienic at all commercial areas within Zone 3

c. Crime is high at NON G&G areas

d. The fields are still bald and floods during rainy days especially those at USJ11

e. Broken basketball hoops

f. Tree trimming not frequently done

g. Need to replace defaced Taman signage

I am not so concerned about the above as the complainant just need to bark at the right tree and follow through. If action still not taken, escalate it to the ADUN office during one of their clinical hours. What I want my councillor to do is to be well informed of the development plan in my zone so as to pre empt the residents here to take pro active action. No point crying over spilt milk or closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. In our case what is left behind in the stable is our councilor ass.

1. He was absent when MPSJ called for the local plan hearing of our objection a month ago whereas people like us have to sacrifice our weekends to fight what is right for the residents. Some more the hearing is at his working place during his working hours unless you are saying he was very very busy working elsewhere where there are more money to make.

2. Also absent when USJ 11 frantically fought to prevent TOP SPEED developer which have raped all the available lands in Taipan now eyeing to over develop the small plot of land in the USJ 11 padang. He didn't even bother to reply emails sent to him. Should take back his notebook that belongs to the council since it is never used.

3. Nowhere to be seen when USJ 6 residents were fighting the TM giant from wanting to put up a 9 storey commercial building on the piece of land that were meant for TELCO use under the Local Plan. This is a blantant disrespect of the Local Agenda which MPSJ was the first local council to adopt.

4. Leaving poor Jason Lee and the USJ 3 A, B, C and D residents to fight their own battle to remind the Subang Heights and USJ Heights developers to deliver their end of the bargain and that is to build a slip road into KESAS to prevent the flow of Batu Tiga and Shah Alam toll bypassers spilling into USJ and worsening the traffic condition here. This was agreed by the Semuanya OK man who unfortunately is busy to complete his multi million Istana Khir Toyo when he said very OK to Sime UEP and Berjaya on the flyover over KESAS 3 years ago. Mind you, Ismail Kamal is resident here. His address is 9, Jalan USJ 3A/12 unless you are saying he lives there on paper only. Read today Star Metro for further details what needs to be done here.

5. Missing in action at last Saturday briefing/dialogue at the LRT hearing to hear and see for himself what the power that be is trying to bulldoze their LRT exptension plan into Subang Jaya. He has no excuse of not knowing anything as ALL the 24 councilor are registered with SJ Alert. May be Joe Gomez should take over Ismal's position for doing a bloody good job last Sat. Even the Minister of Transport YB Datuk seri Ong Tee Keat was taken aback. He told OTK at point blank that he didn't elect him as wakil rakyak for this area for him to be present at the hearing as an observer when he is not wearing the hat of the minister. Joe, you are damned lucky as there were no MIC members there to punch you in the face. The MCA members nowadays are more well behave. They have embarked on using technology such as hidden video cam to meet the same objective.

If our councilor is concerned and is involved in all these events, at least when the full board meets to discuss these issues, he can play a more active role in drawing his other colleagues to support the Zone 3 residents. If not he is no better than Pak Lah who sleeps through everything. At least Pak Lah would have dreamt about them but for Ismail, out of sight out of mind.

I agree with Master Q. And yes, USJ 3 is something we must stand up against even if Sime Darby. Also though not Zone 3, the Subang Ria park as well.

Who is TopSpeed? Are they developers? I know they have built buildings in Taipan and also are they the same as the car repairers?

Subang Jaya need people who are willing to protect their homes. Their freedom. Their social being and stop the greedy arrogant people form plundering further.

I think there is a real need for the Zone 3 councilor to show his face. We need to know how he looks like and where we can find the fellow

No point, lah, Sarawakian ... don't bother to ask the chappie to surface and show the community who he is ...at this stage, now ...

... from wat i have read in the newspapers, there are still another 8 councillor seats to be filled ... and then the respective JKP heads will be assigned to their areas.

... if the particular JKP councillor in charge is re-appointed, and you are unhappy about his/her level of commitment & service, then you can all raise an "objection" to YDP MPSJ and convey your message ... send him an email ... or send a letter ... stating in precise language your grouse ...

ta!

I can't confirm this but I think there's a new councillor responsible for Zone 3 based on a report in The Malay Mail:

An interesting read, but I found this on the net:

A councillor is resposnsible for:

a. As a committee member who makes decisions on application for approval on planning, development and licensing

b. To advise the local govt on relevant matters relevant to their expertsie and profession

c. To represent the local community on the local living conditions to the local govt

d. Mediator between the community and local govt

e. Relay feedback and response on lcal govt's service delivery

f.To be policy and decion makers inclusive of draw up by laws to aid administration fro best practises

g. To draw up policy to determine direction of the local govt

h. Spokesperson of the local govt so that all policies and campaigns are understood and accepted by the community

i. To check abuse and misuse of power by local govt

j.To ENCOURAGE public participation of all events and campaigns organized by local govt.

THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY, SEEN TO DO THEIR WORK, PROACTIVE AND ENGAGING.

SJ Echo reported the comment of a resident who refused to be named when told that Ismail Kamal has been reappointed.

The reappointment of Ismail Kamal, the councillor in charge of JKP Zone 3 which covers most parts of USJ came as a surprise as many residents had complained that he had hardly been seen or attended to the various issues and complains from the former.

"I am surprised he is reappointed. He was never around for us and even the JKP he was given to set up does not even exist," said the resident who declined to be identified.

If my councilor En Ismail Kamal can just do 3 out of the 10 duties spelt out above, I would be most happy and thank my Almighty God for performing that miracle.

Even if the fellow is not taking care of Zone 3, but reappointed based on what and who does the appraisal? Apa ni....we people more important lah so if the fellow goes elsewhere to jaga another zone, this is not right.

Yes he will and since he says he lives in USJ 3A, there is nothing we can do. Unless you guys wants to lobby for his removable from Zone 3 but I am afraid this guy will start to spin something and make it r........

Maybe those in Zone 3 can camp at his house and do like old times and get the people nominated to help.
