A friend of mine is facilitating a programme under the Department of Skills Development's Dual National Training System (Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional or SLDN).

The SLDN is a system whereby participants are attached to a modified apprenticeship scheme conducted jointly within the industry as well as an accredited training institution modeled after the German Berufsschule system.

The training programmes facilitated by my friend will lead to one of the following qualifications:

Level 2 Malaysian Skills Certificate - Life Insurance
Level 3 Malaysian Skills Certificate - Life Insurance
Level 2 Malaysian Skills Certificate - General Accident Underwriting
Level 3 Malaysian Skills Certificate - General Accident Underwriting
The Malaysian Skills Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) is a Certificate level qualification that is both industry and government recognised and can be used for further academic progression. The programme is open to all Malaysians aged 17 - 35 with at least a PMR qualification.

Participation in the training programme will be sponsored by the Department of Skills Development of the Ministry of Human Resources and a monthly allowance of RM300 will be provided as well. The programme facilitated by my friend has some unique incentives tied in as well, including job placement.

PM me if you know anyone who's interested and I will put you in touch with my friend.

Not a bad second chance opportunity for those of us who may have left school prematurely for various reasons.
