I am surprise as my company received a Penalty from Tenaga as they mentioned our electricity usage are not efficient.

Tenaga have a rating of 0 - 1 which 1 is consider efficient.
If we achieve 0.75 - 0.85 - Penalty of 1.5%
If we achieve lower than 0.75 - Penalty of 3%

How would i know how efficient we are? How should i start to avoid this penalty...anyone got tips?

You should get your lawyer to send them a notice, with your locus standi as a consumer, with a penalty of below 0.5 because they buy so damn much electricity from the Independent Power Producers (IPPs) which is of no use to us. Thats why you will get another rate increase come 1st September.

I still don't understand how Tenaga as a national monopoly can lose money and the CEO voted "CEO of the Year" summore...

Consult your lawyer for the next move.

This is the **** we get and will continue to get when a business is monopolized by one company.

The biggest agony is this company had monopolized the business since independent day, more than 50 years ago.

We have to pay so much money not because of usage cost but to subsidy their inefficiency.

Seems you have a bad power factor. I think there is a rule that only commercial user will receive penalty for bad power factor. Just get a electrical contractor to do correction.

Now, they want to increase the price AGAIN!!!

Last year, when oil price is sky-high, they use it to justify their 30% increase in price.

Then when oil price went down, Tenaga treat us like beggar and give us reduction of less than 5%

The only hope is on the next election.
