Try scotrade, it offers the lowest rate and impressive streaming data but you have to to be a resident and valid I.D. or social security no.

Permanent residents and US citizen would be issued with social security numbers like our I.C. Basically, you would be taxed on capital gains which is the main reason.

U need to open an account (overseas trading) with local brokerage with license to trade US stocks. OSK & RHB are the two that I know.

Once account is opened and fees paid u need to bank in some $ as there is no leverage or margin trading for US stocks hence if wanna buy USD5k of stock u need to have at least that amount in your account.

U can use a broker to lock-in the price or trade on-line urself

if u have social security number, pm me your email address i can refer u to US online trading acct .. once u use them u will know how backdated m'sia online trading system are.
otherwise just follow what rakyat mentioned for opening acct from m'sia.

I doubt he is an US PR or citizen when he is not familiar with 'social security no.'
