I received this message from OCS Tuan Loi from the Balai Polis USJ on Friday, 03/07/2009

"Yesterday A call was made to one of the parents by a chinese national using china reg number demanding 50k. During that can hear a child's plea for help at background. Upon check child still safely at school.
Advise them (parents) to check their kids whereabouts before they start to panic.thanks"

I can only add that if you have taught your children "well" in their behaviour after school ends each day there would really be no necessity to doubt their safety.

I was informed at the Community Policing Meeting on 20/11/2009 that this scam has resurfaced again.

There have been Polis reports made at the Balai Polis USJ.

I did receive this call on 3/9/09, a day after my house was broken into. I got really scared & anxious after receiving this call but not panic as my son was with me at that time. I just said u got the wrong number and hang up.

Make a Polis Report or you can also report directly to Tuan Loi or send him an SMS with the details.

We have the advantage over other Communities in that we are able to contact the OCS of the Balai Polis directly, let's make use of this advantage.

I am sure that the OCS will appreciate the information from residents.
