The local Audi cars franchise-holder only brings in the 1.8 and 2.0 litre Audi A4. I was looking at the 2.3 FSI Quattro for wifey because it has a V6 engine and all-time four-wheel drive but they do not have them (the 2.3FSI).

The salesman claim I can place a special order if I put down 40% downpayment (of RM400K) and also pay for the AP for RM60,000 more... I am confused.

Do we need to pay for the price of the AP? And is the AP now at RM60K?

Maybe USJ27Resident can provide some input?

So troublesome...may as well go for the Q5, also a quattro but not V6 though more spacious interior & sturdy looking

If you're not a Umnoputra you can plain forget about it or you have to pay a very high figure: like 60k. If you're a member and if especially you have a hotline to the queen herself, perhaps 5k?

This AP stuff is making me sick. Why should we pay for an AP or rather why do we have the AP system if its not a get rich quick scam for the Umnoputras?

I like the Q7 myself though but for the price, I would prefer the X5 4.7 version... hmmm wait first and see how the economy is moving!

What do you think the AP system is for? It is to transfer money from people like you and me to the cronies.

Each Malaysian is entitled to one free AP right?

"Entitled" probably yes, "Free" probably no. Even if its officially free, you have to unofficially pay for it.

To be honest I don't know.

The AP scam managed by the Umnoputras is murky. Any sifu care to comment?
