Subject: Daylight robbery at USJ12

Just to share as I hardly see any reporting on cases in USJ12 in SJ Alert, while when I talk to the neighbours, I hear a lot of cases from them.

Report from the resident of the house which was broken into. This happened on May/18.

=======================
I am a resident of USJ 12. This afternoon, the home where I am staying was robbed. My neighbours called the police around 12.30pm, She called the direct line for USJ 12 to report the break-in. I also called 999 to report the break-in. My grievance is that the slow police response coming to USJ 12. I witnessed the robbery as I parked outside further from the house and saw the robbers.

My neighbours also saw the robbers outside the gate, next to my house and gave the description to the police, Maroon Red Kelisa, BHU 779. My only question is that why the police ran to the back of the house instead of chasing the robbers, which I pointed to them the direction where the robbers car went I gave the plate number and the color of the Kelisa. They stayed and questioned me. They could have chased the robbers, still in the vicinity instead of wasting time to question me. They did not chas the robbers they were curious what things the robbers took from my house. they asked me to list the things i lost. what kind of police service is this in USJ?

When I went to report the incident the policewoman informed me that USJ12 is high crime rate so why not have more police patrol every now and then not only when there is robbery happening.

The first incident was commited at Jalan USJ 12/2F which is fronting the badminton courts which is next to the football field. We told the investigating police that there are always 2-3 Alam Flora workers lepakking with roaming eyes which made many living in those houses fronting the field uncomfortable.

While the police were talking to us, they received a mayday call to rush to USJ 11. While they were busy at USJ 11, the second incident happened at Jalan USJ 12/3B which is a stone throw away. I must agree that the incidences here in USJ 12 is alarming. Within the last 30 days I personally went to the scene of the other 2 crimes. One happened at Jalan USJ 12/2D right in front of my house where a lady who just got back from work around 6pm had her handbag containing RM 6,000+ from her business collection snatched while looking for some document in her car boots. The other one was a house break in along Jalan USJ 12/2A which is also 100 metres from my house. This is a corner house where the intruder went in by the back door after the occupants have gone for their dinner at 7.30pm.

We hope to meet up with Insp Loi for an action plan. No, I am not thinking of fencing up our area. This is a knee jerk mentality. Also it is not possible to do so - too many exit points. There are also a school, kindergarten and surau here.

Hi

I just shifted to USJ12 last December and just getting to know more about the whole surroundings. May I know which part of USJ12 did this break-in take place? I would like to also know which part of USJ12 that has the highest crime.

I am very much impressed with this SJS Alert!

Keep up the good work and let me know if I can be of any help..

Robana

Note:
In general the crime rate in the area under the Balai Polis USJ has reduced by 17% in May'09 compared to April'09 but I have been reliably informed that the whole of USJ12 is presently experiencing an increase in crime (breakin, car theft, snatch)

Chief Inspector Tuan Loi Yew Lik has promised more Police Patrols in the USJ12 area to 'arrest' this problem.

In the meantime, be on the lookout for suspicious people/motorcycles/motor vehicles in the area, call the Balai or Tuan Loi immediately giving as much information as possible when you notice that something is "not right".

...pm me for my contact number as i understand no number in the forum right?
Not right actually. Anyone can post their 'phone number here but why would anyone want to announce on the Internet their 'phone no.? Not safe for you. It is better to communicate by PM ... at least you know who you gave your number to.

By the way, we only disallow a few things such as spamming and adverts for business solicitation on the Forum.
