well, heres the catch. Imagine having a TV that is clearer beyond High Defination, and it saves you more than 40% energy compared to normal LCD TV.
What is the trick? LED tv.
Here comes Samsung LED TV. thickness of a thumb, price like a Proton Kancil.
But hey its not how much it cost...it's how great it is.
China & japan have made wonders with LED this pass 5 years. from solar power led torch lights to LED lit up screens taller than a 10 storey building.
Now Korea, or particularly Samsung, have invented something different, something so revolutionary that might cost the whole world to replace their TVs with this ( when they decided to change a new tv) the Samsung LED TV.
So what is the Best TV now? forget the functions first lets talk about Functionality later. Its the technology that matters.
So TV lovers which are loaded..i recommend Samsung LEd TV.

If price is similar, I can think of moving on to the future, a new dimension and a totally new experience at home…3D TV (Three-dimensional TV).
DreamWorks Animation, producer of successful animated series like Shrek, Shark Tale, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar and etc is making movies in 3D. It isn’t a dream, the 3D TVs probably are not available in Malaysian market yet.

tsela, what you proposed is very true..
I have saw those 3d sceeens they used for Advertisement in Bangkok's Siam Paragon Shopping Complex (World Class) but it is not good for the eye.
imaging watching 3d for all the movies..will screw up your head.
and furthermore it is not a product to mass produce.
BAck to the Samsung LED TV, its just a matter of time before the price come down. it always has and always will. till then ...just keep in mind not to wrongly purchase the LCD TV when the LED price has reached identical.

Initially I thought that large 30inch and above LED TV really hit the market. No no ......not yet and it may take a few more years to ramp up the size n response time for a true LED TV.
What you see now is an LCD TV with LED backlighting instead of fluorescent ....not a true LED TV or the technical name AMOLED TV...Active Matrix OLED TV. AMOLED TV is target to replace LCD tv in 2 to 3 years time.

CCY beat me to the mark.....
Lets not get deceived by unscrupluse marketing. The so called LED TV is only the backlight and not the screen. Sammy does not label it accurately. True LED TV are on the way....

What true LED or Fake LED? Samsung would not give false info on their technology for a corporation that big.
see the TV for yourself, touch the tv and see the thickness. see the deeper black, and please don't assume if you're not 100% sure about what im discussing here.
i've seen the tv, even went to my friends house who has em. put on BATMAN BEGINS HD and found out the true meaning of Deeper black..
For a wealthy tech savvy person, where price doesn't really matter...will you get a 2nd rated technology?

It is no doubt that LED backlight LCD tv may be the best now but do be aware that true LED tv's are on the way....
If you are not aware of the status of LED tv development or differences of a true LED tv is ....

In Los Angeles, seen an exclusive Shrek 4-D (Four-dimensional) movie at Universal Studio Hollywood, it was sensational and no headache. Seen a holographic effect of fairy at Disneyland. Seen thin TVs at malls, pricy and appeared to display good contrast. Samsung in America coined these LCD TVs as Edge-lit LED backlighting.

Not a sci-fi channel but advancing technology is pushing home theater experience to new heights. Movies with hologram technology have also been prototyped and shown to be physically possible. Can’t imagine watching the what… Japanese/Korean? horror movie and seeing the unseen crawling out of a multi-dimensional or holographic TV. Not for the faint-hearted.
