Dear Robert,
About 2 month ago, my daughter and her friend were confronted by 6 young guys on 3 bikes about 10:30pm as they were walking back from their part time jobs.
It happened 2 doors away from our house, at the corner of a one way street at SS15 and under the bright street light!
The attackers were so young! (16 – 19 age range). They were not seriously harmed except for losing the hp, wallets….. and I know it took awhile to get their confidence back. But what irked me was, even after getting the stuffs, my daughter’s friend was boxed in his face without any provocation
Last Friday (22 May), a friend of my children was nearly attacked by 4 youngsters on 2 bikes about 10 -10:30pm, near the SS15 playground (close to Subang Square, before the Sime Darby Medical Centre). As he was walking along the main road, he heard one guy asking to proceed with attacking him upon which he (the friend) immediately ran to the nearby playground cos there were people playing basketball. The two bikes followed him but couldn’t do much because there were people around.
Its sad of what’s becoming of our society. Its no longer safe to even venture outside at anytime of the day. The earlier attack by 6 guys on the bikes were young Malay guys. And the other attack was by 4 young Indian guys. It is not about race. Its about what’s becoming of our youngsters now. We have to stop this before it gets worst. We have to get to the root of the problem. If we cant get through to the youngsters, perhaps through the older generations – their parents. Frankly, I really don’t know what would or can help now but I know what we are doing now is not enough. We have the Neighbourhood Watch for the nighttime but what about other times.
Where are the policemen. The only times that I see the Police Patrol is when they are stopping the “supposedly illegal immigrants”. If they have time to do that, then they should have time to patrol more often. Maybe they should patrol in unmarked car cos it defeats the purpose knowing that criminals wouldn’t commit crime when theres a patrol car insight. They will just wait till the patrol car drives away………
And what about decoys, I am sure if the Police Force were to really be interested, they can always find ways "baiting" all these penyangat
Its not trying to be smart or blaming anybody here BUT something needs to be done fast before situation gets worst.
Regards,
Ana
