Your place in which part of Shah Alam? I go there often and banana leaf is food with soul. So how near is this Ravi's place near to your place?

Is the ravi manager anything like the usj9 nirvana place with a cut-throat, liar and smiling manager? This nirvana manager lied to me and then charged me rm7.50 per tenggiri slice! We had 3 slices that day and that was already rm22.50!!! just for the fish!

Thats why I say we can all grumble, rant and banter till the cows come home, about some shops high prices but yet, I still see that BL place near my home still packed with customers at dinner time, especially weekends. I'm sure they the customers don't give a damn if it was RM7.50 a slice or RM8.50 for that matter. Price is NO issue in this case, quite typical local mindset and phenomenon.
Anway, many mamak and Nasi Kandar shops have raised prices (say a typical RM5 plate of rice with chicken to RM6 average) last year due to price increase in many essential meat or vege and have never reduced the price back. What goes up doesn't come down and the gahmen ain't NO help!.
Amazingly, many malay warong have maintained their prices throughout, as far as I've experienced and I can't recall if they've skimped on portion or quality.
Only people power may work, that is...DON'T EAT OUT too often!

Imagine... these mamak shops have higher prices for their food but lower labour costs using Banglas... all with compliments from Malaysians (who think they are damn smart but unfortunately are damn....)

I doubt the labour cost is cheap. Saw in Star Metro, a normal foreign worker cost RM3000 per mth to maintain consider the hrs put in.

You came to visit me before for the plaster collection. Anyway I have never been to Ravi but I dont think it would be cheap. People are complaining to me 3 orang makan easily RM60 ++. But you can complain to Datin for the service, which I saw her personally managing the outlet. All the workers are from India.
