I am an Australian exchange student studying in Sunway and trying to get my blog off the ground. I'm one of 55 Australian students on exchange at Monash University this semester, which is five times more than the uni has ever hosted, and there's more on their way in July. The uni has stepped up the campaign to get some Australian representation at the Australian campus in Sunway.

The blog is called "Student Stopover in Sunway" and it's mostly for people back home to read. But if you have any interesting trivia or information about Sunway, or if you're curious to read an Australian's take on studying in Sunway check out Student Stopover in Sunway (http://www.orble.com/student-stopover-in-sunway/) .

Cheers,

G'day mate! Wish you luck. Have more of your mates from down under here, we need the 'stimulus' to the economy now...

Hi Jane, it is nice that you managed to find this Forum although you only just got in to Sunway. It'll be nice to know how you managed to find us.

Your Blog sounds a grudging need to keep a promise to write home while you are swamped with balancing precious time between work and absorbing the Tropical warmth.

I suppose if you started making comments over here, you'd get more discussions with the locals. By the way, if you had been digging far enough into this forum, you'd have found that a few of the members of this forum meet face-to-face once a month at Syed's Bistro in USJ8 (actually a mamak joint hidden behind Goodyear Court 3). We meet on the first Fridays of every month. If you fancy picking the minds of a few middle-aged Chinese guys sitting al fresco sipping Teh Tarik and Nescafe, you should find us usually between 9:30 to 11:30pm. Sometimes we end later if the group is nice company... otherwise we need to be home before the wife locks the gate at home.
