Does anyone know where I can locate a perspex wholesaler. I need to cover the bottom half of my front door to keep the rainwater from coming in whenever there is a heavy downpour.

Can a fixed dimension of 50x70cm help ur case?

Try getting the ikea picture frame, u can throw the wood frame away. The package includes a piece of clear plastic (its flexible stuff, 3mm thick).

I remember one shop located at just behind BOMBA Jalan Hang Tuah KL, Lorong Merbau to be precise that sells these plastic, acrylic and perspex sheets of various thickness. They have a table saw to cut to your size. The shop is along Lorong Merbau. You have to walk along and spot the shop having stacks of plastic sheets.

Paste this coordinates in Google Earth to get the location.

Lat: 3° 8'17.78"N
Longt: 101°42'20.84"E

Thanks kawan2 for your input. I used to go Salak South last time but I don't go there anymore. I will consider both. My office is near Ikea and I frequent Kenanga area as well.

Not sure if that sign shop along the road from Mamee factory to giant/summit still there or not. Bought a sheet of perspex from them long time ago.

Why not try aluminium sheet or whatever sheet from hardware shop.

If you had said earlier, i know someone just lenghten their awning to cover 2 cars from rain....and throw away the shorter one.

You can buy one of those little saw from h/w shop, easy to saw thru plastic and use a file(similar to kuku's) to smoothen the sides.

To punch hole. Take a long nail. Heat it up and push thru.

I did that for my science project with running light in 1979 :D

fRaNkY & Weezy, your suggestions are great but getting them from signboard shops are a tad more expensive that getting from the wholesalers.

The actual reason why I am choosing transparent perspex is because I want to let in Mr Sunshine but keep those darn cats out!!! They made their way into my home and pooped on my bed and on my leather sofa. The rain was just an excuse.

They have an innate sense of centrality when they pooped on my bed (exact center) and sofa (exact center on the 3 seater).

So instead of always having the door closed, which I dislike, I can have my front door open to let in the sunshine and breeze with the perspex in place.
