We have so much fun in this CNY also. I bought Wii in Jan. We enjoy the Wii Sport & Wii Fit (we like the balancing games the most)

Wii Sport really makes you SWEAT IT OUT!!!!!!!! after playing it continuously about 3 to 4 hours(night time).... 2nd day i wake up, I'm suffering from my hand muscle pain.... But, It still sometime good. For those that dont have time to exercise outside.... try this out.... u will love it... :)

i bought the us version (for uae market) for 1250 in tropicana city. comes with 1 controller/nunchuck and wii sports. also got the wii fit (board and game) for 550!

i am having fun!!

maybe we shud have a wii tournament one of these days! :D

Regret buying from the shop in Summit USJ. The name of the shop is MAX DREAM ENTERTAINMENT. (at Lower Ground, Next to Ah Cheng laksa & Watch Shop...Opposite Ogawa or Osim)

So many unpleasant and unhappy incident...PLUS super lousy customer service

9th Jan 09 - Bought the Wii. Problem arise. Have to re-sync EVERYTIME i switch off the console. Tried troubleshoot whole night.

10th Jan 09 - Send back & explain. The sales kid named Patrick told me it is NORMAL. I argue for 10 minutes as my cousin own the Wii too. Then he start to call his colleague. Waited for 30 min and the colleague finally willing to change one for me. This time, i tested & tested.

Then i found out the WARRANTY STICKER is dated DEC'08. I argue that it was a USED-UNIT but he insist that their supplier stick it. Warranty sticker should be STICK when consumer purchase it and NOT RESELLER. I let it be.

15th Feb 09 - Send back the Remote as it is faulty. I was told that it will be ready on 18th...then i said GOOD.

I have called many many times Till today (12th Mar 09) IT IS NOT READY -
The standard excuses:-

1) NO SPARE PARTS/
2) READY NEXT WEEK
3) COME AGAIN NEXT WEEK
4) PATRICK NOT HERE
5) PLEASE CALL BACK
6) nobody pick up the phone

I got so fed-up today when i talked to another guy name Han. He told me i should call when Patrick is around. Then i screw him back that i deal with the company and not Patrick. I got so piss-off with him. If he do not call me back as promise tomorrow... he gonna regret

correct..standard set comes with

-1 console (not modded fro "ahem" games)
-3 months warranty?

What is the difference btw ..

(1) Wii Console & Wii Sport? Are these 2 sold separately?
(2) Remote and Nunchuck?

My intention for this unit is to play active sports game for at least 2 persons.. what will be the recommended package then?

wii console = the peripheral itself (the player that plays the cd)
wii sports = is the cd game (only the disc)
wii fit board = comes with the board for u to stand one and perform the tasks and the CD )
wii mote = remote controller
nunchuck = another type of controller which is to be connected to the wii mote for certain games that requires both hands

for 2 person to play, need 2 sets of each..

the dancing games must buy the mat. The board is mainly used for Wii Fit game. No need 2 sets of consoles lah, only 1 but u need 2 controllers for 2 pax to play mah. i know its confusing, i was also very confused and i was doing lots of reading past 2 weeks..

If u wanna save money in long run, buy a modded console. There are 2 types of mods, i.e soft mod(software flashed only) and hard mod(actual chip soldered on inside the console).Hard mods cost more but u save $$ in long run.
Make sure u get extended warranty on the mod also.
Also get 2 sets of controllers (which consists of 1 wii mote+ 1 nunchuck)

Thats all u need to start..

yes, modded console means its hacked to play "ahem" games..
Wii sports - tennis,baseball,golf,boxing and bowling
Wii fit - balancing, fitness training, yoga,strecthing,weight check (actually more for women)
