And also spare a thought and a prayer for our departed Tuan Foo, who is one of the best police officers I have worked with. Take my word, he cared very much for the folks who live and work within his area of jurisdiction. I will really miss him in 2009.

I'm just looking at the "white gold" donations for an officer who has given his life preventing and fighting crime in the USJ area, I am a bit taken back, less than 10 odd people donated. I have not met Tuan Foo since I moved out from USJ4 in 2005, but can the people of USJ do more for his family?

a good and cheap public health system
free education in public schools
cheaper petrol
warm weather

I think 2009 will be the year that sees which man can get down from the horse and walk.... I don't like your prediction but sadly I have to agree to most of what you wrote. Its scary but I don't think its too far from the truth.... The 1,500 people retrenched from Western Digital plant in Kuching is only the tip of the iceberg. The HR people I talk to here in Bayan Lepas.... oh boy, its going to be a very painful March 2009... exactlt 80 years after the 1929 great depression....

yup...we have 3 vacancies for floor level staff...and get this:

nearly 60+ people applied for the jobs..and this is only from word of mouth! No need to advertise! Save $$$$$ :D
