Dear All,
This is my first posting.
:D :D

The website does not give the hand phone numbers of the Minister/Dep minister and the other civil servants. There is a circular that the hp numbers of all the persons whose handpone chrges are paid for the public to note. This little "secret" has been kept away from our intelligent public.

My suggestion is that all of us go to the PM website and insist that these clowns hp number be revealed to the public.

Any takers.

I have emailed the Chief Secretary to the Govt (Ketua Setiausaha Negara) about this matter and well "copy and Paste" as soom as I get the reply. Cheers. :D

Our new friend here certainly has some issues with the government in general. In this thread, he claims that since the mobile numbers of some officers are paid for by tax-payer monies, these numbers should be public domain. However, in what context are these mobile services given to these officers? I believe some of them are directors and their sole use of these mobiles are to maintain constant contact between the decision makers - they were not meant for public contacts.

Just to follow his line of thought - since government servants' salaries are paid using tax-payers' hard-earned money, why don't we get the addresses, home phone numbers and even their private mobile numbers?

Let me put this arguement to the next level ... why not demand the same for employees of public-listed companies? Hey, aren't they using the investors' monies to bank-roll their projects and existence?

And by the way, we pay money for the utilities we consume - let us demand for the personal details and contacts of all people working in the waterworks, indahwater, Tenaga Nasional, Telekom, Pejabat POS

Oh yes, before I forget, we put our hard-earned salaries in the banks ... why can't we have the contacts and addresses of all the bank staff?

Are you all getting my drift?
