Hi, My wife had a great idea recently to quickly iron her pants on the livingroom coffee table :confused:. Anyway, it ruined one section of the finish on the table. So does anyone know of a shop or backlane shed where I can find someone who could refinish my table? It needs to be stripped sanded and restained and varnished. I could do it myself but I have no equipment to do a nice job, so.....

You might need to sand the whole table to get the same look. If just sand the ruin part and paint it then the look might not look the same/equal. Due to aging and colour shade of the varnish/paint.

Try look and ask furniture shops in taipan if they will do it for you and how much.

Should have spread a piece of thick cloth or blanket on the coffee table before ironing.
