We have just been informed that one of our hardworking neighbourhood cops Constable Rozami Hasan was killed 2 days ago in a road accident whilst on duty in front of the Police Station. Rozami had been attached to the USJ 8 Bali Police and had just got married only a month earlier.
Rozami was a very dedicated cop in the fight against crime as he knew the residents were relying on the men in blue to help protect them.
Some of us feel the least we can do for his services to the community, and as a token of good support and appreciation also to the other members of the Police staff in USJ, we the residents should donate to the wife of the late Constable Rozami. All donations will be handed to the wife through OCPD Zainal of Subang Jaya.
For the purpose of collection of donations, we will set up a special donation box at the Teh Tarik Session this Friday night. However, if others who want to donate but find this mode not convenient, please advise and we will try to set up an account for you to bank in.
Please help pass the word around to garner support. Remember that the more we show the Police force how much the residents care for them, they cannot help but try to look after the community to reciprocate. Like the old adage goes....one good deed deserves another or what goes around, comes around.

As there are requests for other methods for donation to this Fund, I am opening up this account again for a very short period. For those who wish to deposit direct into a bank account, please deposit to this account:
Maybank Ac: 112482081436
Name: TAN LIONG LAI.
Please ensure all deposits are made by Thursday 6 Novermber at latest. I shall then have to collate and hand over the money to Chief Inspector Foo on Friday 7 November as I shall be away the whole of next week. I will keep all informed of the time for handover so that those available can be present to witness donation handover process.
Thanks so much for your support. Rgds.
ps. I can only print the account here after I get back the following week.

Total collection from the TT session last night was RM175 which included a donation of RM50 from Eileen in absentia. Hence the total for the fund is RM175 + 250 = RM425. I have topped in up with RM25 to make it RM450. Chang will make arrangement to hand the sum over to Chief Inspector Foo in my absence next week. I had wanted to hand over to CI Foo today or tomorrow but unfortunately he is not available. I will scan my savings book asap for verication of the sum remitted into my account.
To orchipalar, startanew, toink77, Eileen, Chang and those at the TT like Alan, Ang, Sentinel, Firefly & Peter who contributed... Thanks a bunch! My apology if I missed out anyone else.
Rgds.

We post herewith the account book showing the 2 remittance of RM100 and 50. I was supposed to make a withdrawal of the same amount but I made a mistake of withdrawing RM160 instead. I had to redeposit RM10 back into the account in order to keep it active as the minimum balance required is RM10. I trust that explains the minor irregularity from the scan copy of the account. Orchi's contribution is not reflected here as it was advanced by me.
Again, Thanks to all who contributed. Lets hope our little donation will show to our neighbourhood police that the community cares for them, in return for their contribution to help look after the safety of the residents here.

Latest and final statement of account - last contributor added RM50, bringing the total collection to RM500.
As I am unable to meet Chief Inspector Foo during working hours, he despatched his officers to collect from me tonight. The sum of RM500 was handed over to Corporal Asmadi. I filled up a collection form that Corporal Asmadi brought along and noted that the RM500 doantion was from usj.com.my and I told him that this came from members of the Forum.
Just a note here to say that the collection form has names of other groups that donated towards the same cause and at a quick glance, they average RM500 each, so we are in good company ... certainly, we are a community that cares for our men and women in blue. Thank you to the members of our community.
I attach a picture taken with 2 uniformed officers who accompanied Corporal Asmadi.
