Hello! Fadzidah,
I also stay in Putra Heights,of more than 4years. I at section 10. My suggestion is to get to know yr jiran first. And each section there is a JKP(jawatan kuasa penduduk) or Residents Association. I will find out later for you.
FYI, I sit in Section 10 Residents Association as Secretary.

I am the councillor for MBSA tasked with chairing a zone (Zone 10 that covers Section 26, 27 and 28) that borders Putra Height (JKP Zone chaired by Pn Rabiah) on the north and borders Taman Perindustrian Subang on the south (JKP Zone chaired by, if I am not mistaken, Mr Keshminder). Political boundary for Putra Height falls under DUN Sri Muda which is of Bahagian Kota Raja eventhough is administered by MPSJ. That further explains as to why I will have an interest as far as Putra Height is concerned. RA Putra Height (Vincent, Selina, Ericcson - to name a few) might have come across my role in their respective areas.

I truly feel honored to be associated with this group in sharing common info and interest. I had also 'bumped' into my long lost contact (Hi Gill...how are you doing?) in this egroup. I hope to benchmark it to be used as a model for my zone.

And back to the scares in terms of crime for Putra Height, not that I know of very much BUT the most remembered one is a case to be mentioned in court come this 23rd Oct - a police officer on duty that @%$# a girl in Putra Height police station (harapkan pagar, pagar tak boleh harap!). That makes Putra Height best remembered!

Selamat datang ke kawasan IPD Subang Jaya. No telepon balai Putra Heights ialah 51922404 dan Ketua Balai Polis nya ilah Sub Inspektor Nordin. Selain daripada kes pecah rumah kawasan ini tidak mengalami sebarang ancaman jenayah yang serius. Perasaan takut terhadap jenayah memang ujud di sanubari setiap manusia tetapi saya ingin maklumkan kawasan Puan di kategorikan kawasan kurang ancaman mengikut kajian jenayah yang di buat oleh kami di seluruh kawasan IPD Subang Jaya mengikut kadar indeks jenayah, Untuk mengurangkan perasaan takut terhadap jenayah ( fear of crime ) saya mecadangkan supaya semua penududuk mengadakan program mengenali jiran anda. Setiap rumah harus mencari 20 rumah di kawasan anda untuk di kenali supaya ia akan membentuk jaringan keselamatan yang kukuh dan efisen. Catitkan segala no kenderaan yang anda curigai dan jenis serta warna kenderaan dan bangsa orang yang mengunakan kenderaan. Buat satu rekod dan edarkan nya kepada polis untuk di buat semakan dan simpan satu untuk rekod. Sekiranya pada masa hadapan sekiranya ada berlaku jenayah, polis boleh fall back untuk mengesan rekod kenderaan yang di surigai tersebut.

How is the crime rate in Putra Heights compared with USJ and also Subang Jaya?

The crime rate in Putra Heights - or more correctly the area under the Balai Polis Putra Heights, which includes USJ23 to USJ27 and Putra Heights is very very low.

Most weeks there is really no crime at all, they have the occasional motorcycle theft at the flat area in Putra Heights.

In all, a relatively peaceful place if compared to SJ & USJ.
