Thnak you.

go to their website www.srikl.edu.com

how old is your daughter ? i heard from my sister you need to register 2 years ahead - whn your child is 3 yr old you register her for thier kinder programme which starts with kids of 5 yrs old).

Just a point to note, few yrs back whn i was helping my sis to register my niece to the school i spotted a grammatical mistake on the registration form which mispelled "principal" (as in headmaster") as "principle".

out of courtesy i called up and spoke to a staff who sounded defensive and blamed it on the printers...

so that answer you the quality of staff in that school now...

Thnak you.Err buddy...for better or worst...schools these days are NOT as what they used to be in the old days...

For one...the schools today generally lack disciplinary teachings...

Should Orchi had chosen to send little Orchis to Sri KL back then...for better or worst...Orchi won't know as Orchi wasn't familiar with that school...to begin with.

Instead Orchi sent the boy Orchis to a regular kindie in USJ11...n subsequently enrolled them in SJK(c) Chee Wen...n Orchi would like to believe that the boys have since been doing just fine...

But please don't take Orchi's words for it to be absolute.

Perhaps it would be wiser for you to seek the infos n guidance from the school's Principal to see if their programmes might be suitable for your kiddo...or that of your expectations. :)

To be very frank, I have sent my daughter to a gov. school, then to a private school and currently now in an international school. Quality of teachers in each school, sadly are the same..ranging from good to bad. Schools that was considered good, over the course of different inexperienced principles, standards have dropped. To me, I have realized that if the principle is a good one, the teachers somehow are much more motivated to be better and so forth.
I have found with "bad" leadership or inexperienced principles, most good teachers would leave..or they become unmotivated and carry the "who cares" attitude.
I am particularly not fond of Sri KL but then again, I have a friend whose daughter that have been in that school for several years, does not have any gripes except for one or two teachers...and I too have met up with several other parents that have taken their kids out of that school.

Why don't you just walk in and talk to the principal there...you may even take a tour of the facilities...it is always better if you go and see for yourself. From what I have heard, their pre-school (Sri KL)is above par.

Yes, I have visited the school and the principal show me around and tell me all the good things bout this school. Just when i bring up this matter to my relatives some have really bad comment on it that make me confused.

Again, thank you for your advise :)

Should Orchi had chosen to send little Orchis to Sri KL back then...for better or worst...Orchi won't know as Orchi wasn't familiar with that school...to begin with.Err buddy CWai...Orchi fell short of mentioning this...

For better or worst...if Orchi had sent both little Orchis to Sri KL...Orchi would have been a lot poorer...financially. :D

Good luck in your search...but like buddy Uma says...you probably would get better feedbacks from the principal of Sri KL or the other kindie which you mentioned.

Better still...do visit the other pre-schools to talk to parents of the other childrens whilst you are there...to get better feedbacks from them.

Cwai,
Did you finally send your kid to Sri KL? If so, would you be able to share your experience?

I'm considering sending my son there for primary 1. Would appreciate if someone could share their experience.

thanks.

Its just a personal opinion, last call still in your hand :D

First and foremost, WHY private school like Sri KL ? Is it for reputation, better teaching system, higher education standard than normal government school, and of course you a bomb for the fees :D

Then after finished from Standard 6 or Form 5, are you sending the child back to Gormen school or continue higher education in Private College ? If you decided for the former one then you would wasted all your effort now; but if you decided for latter one, then it is ok.

Joni,
I absolutely agree with you. If one goes into private school system then should go all the way through tertiary level with overseas system.

The issue with our system is if primary in chinese, then secondary school in BM and later tertiary in English... there's no smooth flow. Some kid's progress may be interrupted during the change. But then again some kids do well too in this system.

Gathering info from those who have been through each system will surely help in decision making.

Thnak you.

One of my friends sent her son to the preschool in Sri KL early this year. The teacher gave her a leaflets of a English tuition center and asked her to send her son to study English there.
'If my son has to study English outside the preschool, why should I send him to the preschool and pay so much for the preschool?' This was what my friend told me.

Lily,
You're right. If one still has to go for tuition after spending so much $$ in private school then it defeat the purpose of going to pvt school.

IMHO, I think it is best to send the kids to SJKC and then switch to private school during secondary .... you get the best of both world and bypass the messed up Kebangsaan system ...

Hi, I'm thinking of enrolling my son with Sri KL to do their O level program starting in 2013. Anyone has a child/children or heard of friend's doing this program in Sri KL? Any comment or feedback? I wonder whether the school has adequate and competent teachers/tutors to teach the syllabus! Thanks
