I'm living in a terrace house.
A lot of office workers park their just outside the front gate of my house, making it diffcult for me to drive in and out.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That I would like to know too. I've got one neighbor with too many cars and also a bunch of young punks that behaves like gangsters, who recently rented a house down the road.
Making it difficult to get in and out is bad enough.
Those parking in front of my gate couldn't even be bothered. They just park as they like, just making sure they block my gate making sure I can't get in or out.
So I would also like to know what can be done. Of course, any suggestions that does not involve violence is welcomed.

Last time, I usually put an A4 size paper on their wiper to politely tell them NOT to block the gates. Nowadays I do not have this problem as I always avoid buying houses facing one another. I only buy houses facing the side of the corner lot house so that there is ample parking across my house for all my neighbours' cars.

You may want to do the same too. Take this opportunity to upgrade or move to a better location. Find a house like mine (which is not too difficult), make sure the common dividing wall is on the left so that you can park the car easier when you drive into the car porch. These 2 factors are absolute must when I look for a house.

I got a cheeky idea...

Setting: 11am.

Get a glue (the white colour glue in a colourful shampoo bottle packaging (used for arts and crafts) AND An A4 paper. Glue the paper to the car front windscreen. AND WRITE: "NO parking here please" on the A4 paper. Wait for the sun... Viola...

Don't do it to ALL Victim. Do it to the most repeating offenders. Mark the car/s which have the most occurance parking outside your gate. Wait for 1 day when he/she park nearby but quite far from your house. TAKE ACTION.

yes take action into your own hands, its a dog eat dog world right, might is right, bully the inconsiderate idiots to do the right thing.. You need to show YOU are the top dog!
 One thing though, be prepared to fight if they are the violent type.

I called tow trucks and paid them money...get them to have those illegals inconsiderate drivers' cars towed away. Try to call traffic police and that helps too...parking illegally in front of your house which is also not on the proper parking is an offense...

Trident, maybe you should read the two interesting postings below and see if you can learn anything from there. This problem is everywhere and there are ways in solving it but that very much depends on how daring are you.

I think that as long as your car can go out, you should just let it me. The office workers park there because of a number of reasons:

1. there is no where else to park
2. parking nearby costs money and office workers are not paid well -- they are just trying to save money. I can safely say you would want to have free parking rather than pay.
3. However make it clear to them not to block your way out. Also I think their parking there is some sort of security for you with people moving around your house so that they are almost like jaga for your house.
