depending on what type of backache but most of us have it because of sitting too long. It's normally the lower back that ached and this would also affect your neck to hv pain as well. Over here, I've been to Kiropraktis which is based in SS 17. One of the Dr is a forumer here if I'm not mistaken. Call them.

Back aches could be due to other causes, especially persistant ones ....
a) possibility of kidney stones? You may mistaken the stabbing pains to a normal backache. Sorry, no experience with this so I cannot say if one can mistaken this condition for backaches
b) slipped disc? This I have - once in awhile, you get this sore back like a small muscle pull but it could be the disc nudging the spinal cord. I don't know if a chiropractor can help.
Do check with your physician - don't guess. You may be wrong.

I would recommend you to see Dr William Chan at 101 SS15/5A. Though his is a Sports Clinic, he has helped many old patients, including my mom and sister in law, with their back problems. He is very thorough and like Chang said, sometimes back problem can be due to other causes. If interested, call him to make appointment at 563551113. Incidentally, Dr William also used to write in the Star.

I agree with what Chang and Pat said. Should consult a proper physician b4 going straight to Chiropractor. Had my case some years back due to golf and consulted chiropractor and it helped;)

Dont know about Sunway Medical, but if I remember correctly, Dr William will only charge rm80 for consultation. Plus xray etc ...shouldnt be more than 200.

Hi Annice..
Back problems can be caused by a myriad of things. Dr Andre from Kiropraktis will not give u any BS. If he can do something about it.. he will do it.. if it is not in his ability, he will tell you to look for another doctor who can treat it. He will still ask you to get an xray done if he thinks is necessary.
My daughter had her scoliosis treated there, and me too. Also my sis, but her xray showed cancer. She had complained of backaches for a while, and he asked her to get xrays done. The rest is history. She is fine now :)
My daughter has no more leg pains now, which were due to her scoliosis. Doctors in taiwan couldnt diagnose it. For many years she complained of knee pain, couldnt run, couldnt stand for long periods. Now she is running a mile for PE, no pain, and she has grown rather fast too. She no longer requires treatment. Only annual check-ups. Over here in the US.... all students in the 8th grade will be given a scoliosis check at school soon. It's govt funded, to catch the problem while kids are still young.
