I don't think anyone needs a brain to know that you can't do business for free. Any smart aleck who can provide convincing analyses and explanations for these two crazy airlines competing for free flights?

Why not they distribute free rice to the public instead? This sounds more beneficial and is definitely a more wholesome charity for all of us. :D

There's ALWAYS a catch!.. no free lunches in this world..except your good friend belanja you lunch, once a while that is.
I don't believe 99% Malaysian fantasy or esctasy promotions. There's always an element of something fishy!.
Dammit!..just cut the prices by a big margin across the board and cut out the fine print, if wanna be sincere about discounts.

It is just like if you are operating food stall, what do you do with the food that you can not sell at the end of the day. Some would rather throw it rather than giving it to the needy. Many would take the trouble at additional cost to sent it to orphanage or old folks home. 30% of the plane seat not taken most of the time, so sell it at cost to attract paxs. May be can get the pax on return trip. Of course not free lah. MAB have to make some money. Even to get to the airport cost you something.

The ticket is "Free" but have you look at the increase in the Fuel Surcharge and "Administration Fees"? With all the restrictions, I'd say it's a raw deal.
